Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting CFLs, lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, and plastic plant pots for recycling.
Our stores sent approximately 5.3M pounds of shredded paper for recycling in 2022. This helped the planet by preserving over 63.5K trees. It kept over 16K trash bags of solid waste out of landfills, saved over 50M gallons of water, and conserved 7.8M kilowatt hours of electricity.
LED lights in your local store cut energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives like wind and solar.

Do you carry big outdoor Halloween decorations?
We carry a variety of colossal outdoor Halloween decorations, several of which are animatronics. Make your yard the spookiest on the block with giant Halloween decor options, including witches and skeletons. Dean the Deathologist and Skelly are two current favorites. Halloween inflatables are another way to up the drama and create interest.
Why should I get a generator?
We've got the variety you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are cleaner and quieter than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making less noise when they create less power. When browsing generators for sale, don't forget that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. For safety purposes, always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors.
How can I prepare my home for the winter?
Make sure your home is ready for cold weather by repairing or replacing faulty parts of your hardscaping and home. If water freezes in the crevices, you could be looking at trouble. Check brickwork and cinder block for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. On the outside of your home, examine metal roofs or roofing shingles for rust or damage that could let water in. Clean gutters to prevent ice dams. Lastly, swap vinyl siding and chimney caps if they're in poor condition.
What are some storage options for a crowded holiday home?
As you prepare for the holidays, stow what you don't need to enjoy extra space. Garage cabinets keep decorations, tools, and more out of the way. Shoe racks and other storage bins take summer belongings out of the equation. Shield fragile items with moving blankets. If you need even more room, a new shed can give you plenty of it.
How do I check my Home Depot gift card balance?
Home Depot gift cards are a popular choice for the holidays, birthdays, and housewarming parties. DIYers know these gift cards are fun to give and to receive. You can purchase them online at homedepot.com or in our brick-and-mortar stores. If you're a recipient, you can visit the Kona Home Depot and ask a cashier to check the balance for you or check your gift card balance online. Our gift cards can be used to shop online or redeemed in-store with no additional fees.
