Did you know?

Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting rechargeable batteries, plastic plant pots, CFLs, and lead acid batteries for recycling.

Home Depot stores sent approximately 5.3 million pounds of shredded paper for recycling in 2022. This helped the planet by preserving over 63,500 trees, keeping over 16,000 trash bags of solid waste out of landfills, saving over 50 million gallons of water, and conserving 7.8 million kilowatt hours of electricity.

LED lights in your local store cut down energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives like wind and solar.

Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Do you offer trunk-or-treat ideas or kits?

Even better than trunk-or-treat kits, we've got everything you need to make your own. Use your imagination and Halloween decorations to create your own trunk-or-treat experience. Use small indoor Halloween decorations inside the trunk or just outside of it on tables. Expand the scene with outdoor Halloween decorations, and don't forget to dress the part in a matching Halloween costume.

Why should I get a generator?

Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for whatever circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether you're dealing with tornados, hurricanes, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity when the elements take it out. When considering different generators for sale, don't forget that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. For safety purposes, always run your generators outside, away from doors and windows.

Should I do siding repairs before it gets cold?

Make sure your home is ready for winter weather by replacing or repairing faulty parts of your hardscaping and home. If water freezes in any crevices, you could have problems. Check cinder block and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. On the outside of your home, examine metal roof panels or shingles for rust or damage that could let water leak in. Clean gutters to prevent ice dams. Lastly, change out chimney caps and vinyl siding if they're in poor condition.

How can I make more space for the holidays?

As you prepare for the holidays, make extra space with storage solutions. Garage cabinets keep decorations, tools, and more out of the way. Shield fragile items with moving blankets. Shoe storage and other storage bins take summer belongings out of the equation. If you need even more room, a new shed can give you plenty of it.

How do I check the balance of my Home Depot gift card?

Home Depot gift cards are an excellent choice for any reason or during the holiday season. DIYers know they're fun to give and to receive. Purchase gift cards online at homedepot.com or in our stores. If you're a recipient, you can check your gift card balance online or visit the Lincoln Park Home Depot and ask a cashier to check the balance for you. Use our gift cards to shop online or redeem them in-store. There are no additional fees to worry about.

Does The Home Depot Lincoln Park offer Curbside Pickup?

No, the Lincoln Park Home Depot does not offer Curbside Pickup. Please check the next closest Home Depot to see if it's offered there, or shop our endless aisles online to have eligible products delivered straight to your doorstep!

Don't use this store, go to a different one
In the Lincoln Park store, you park on the third floor and ride an elevator down to the first floor. The elevators are horribly slow, and one of the two has been broken for at least a month.

            Escalator Broken Still
While the Depot is good for getting key items you can’t get at a small hardware store, it’s absolutely ridiculous they can’t have an operating escalator for well over a month if not longer. It’s disappointing that they fail to maintain this multi level store, and that the corporate culture allows for these failures which causes quick trips for needed purchases to be way more difficult than necessary. I would recommend avoiding this location till they can make the investments needed to their facilities for the benefit of their customers when shopping there.

              Great Customer Service
Anytime I have to go into Home Depot it can be overwhelming to say the least. Everything from purchasing my new refrigerator, to the perfect shade of red for my iron fence. The staff at that location was amazing in helping me to purchase all I need for my home improvement. I could not have asked for a better customer service experience!

                Location Location Location
I find it handy to have a Home Depot in a densely populated inner-city neighborhood, making it easy for those of us who depend on public transportation to pick up one or two things and then get on the El or the CTA and go on home.

                  Typical
I had several issues with my store in the 47715 ZIP Code and it sent me to a Chicago store to review. You really need to work on your system.

                    Ron Jones Rocks
Ron was friendly and professional and knew his products. Put me at ease on measurements and other technical questions on the fridge I was interested in. Made shopping easy.
