Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting CFLs, lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, and plastic plant pots for recycling.
Home Depot stores sent approximately 5.3 million pounds of shredded paper for recycling in 2022. This has helped the planet by preserving over 63,500 trees, keeping over 16,000 trash bags of solid waste out of landfills, saving over 50 million gallons of water, and conserving 7.8 million kilowatt hours of electricity.
We have decreased electricity consumption by over 52% in our U.S. stores since 2010.

Do you offer huge Halloween yard decorations?
Yes, we carry several types of colossal outdoor Halloween decorations, many of which are animatronics. Make your front yard the spookiest in the neighborhood with giant Halloween decor options, including skeletons, reapers, and witches. Skelly and Dean the Deathologist, a dapper bartender, are two current favorites. Halloween inflatables tend to be less scary and are an excellent choice for homes with children.
Is it good to have a generator at home?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for whatever circumstances life throws at you. Whether dealing with severe thunderstorms, snowstorms or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy power after the elements knock it out. When exploring different generators for sale, remember that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. Always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.
Should I make siding repairs before it gets cold?
Make sure your home is ready for colder weather by replacing or repairing broken parts of your home and hardscaping. If water freezes in any crevices, you could headed for major repairs later. On the outside of your home, examine metal roofs or roof shingles for rust or damage that could let water in. Gutters should be cleaned to prevent ice dams. Check brickwork and cinder blocks for cracks. Indoors, ensure ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. Lastly, change out vinyl siding and chimney caps if they're damaged.
Are garage cabinets or sheds better for storage?
As you prepare for the holidays, stow unused items to free up space. Garage cabinets keep tools, decorations, and more out of the way. Shoe storage and other storage bins take summer belongings out of the equation. Moving blankets shield fragile items as they're packed together. If you need even more room, a new shed can give you plenty of it.
