Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting plastic plant pots, CFLs, lead acid batteries, and rechargeable batteries for recycling.
This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot has sold to Trex in the past. This is used for composite decking, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.
Since 2010, we have decreased electricity consumption by over 52% in our U.S. stores.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our associates and customers. This commitment extends beyond our stores to our communities, as well as the environment. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Learn more about our eco actions.

At The Home Depot, community involvement is important to us. In 2023, The Home Depot Foundation committed over $8 million to communities impacted by natural disasters.

Do you stock big outdoor Halloween decorations?
Yes, we offer many huge outdoor Halloween decorations, including several life-sized animatronics. Make your yard the creepiest on the block with giant Halloween decor options, including skeletons and witches. Skelly, the 12-foot skeleton, and Dean the Deathologist, a dapper bartender, are two current favorites. Halloween inflatables are another way to up the drama and create interest.
Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?
We've got the variety you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are cleaner and quieter than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making more noise when they create more power. When considering different generators for sale, don't forget that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. For safety purposes, always run your generators outside, away from doors and windows.
What home repairs should I make before it gets cold?
Make sure your home is ready for colder weather by replacing or repairing broken parts of your hardscaping and home. If water freezes in any crevices, you could be looking at trouble. Check bricks and cinder blocks for cracks, and verify indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. On the outside of your home, examine roofing shingles or metal roofs for damage or rust that could let water in. Clean gutters to prevent ice dams. Lastly, replace vinyl siding and chimney caps if damaged.
Are sheds or garage cabinets better for storage?
As you prepare for the holidays, stow unused items to free up space. Garage cabinets keep decorations, tools, and more out of the way. Moving blankets can protect fragile items as they're packed together. Shoe racks and other storage containers remove summer belongings from the equation. If you need even more room, a new shed can give you the right amount of space.
How do I check my Home Depot gift card balance?
Gift cards to The Home Depot are an excellent choice for the holidays, housewarming parties, and birthdays. DIYers know these gift cards are fun to give and to receive. You can buy gift cards at our brick-and-mortar stores or online at homedepot.com. If you're a recipient, you can check your gift card balance online or visit the Spring Cypress Home Depot and ask a cashier to check the balance for you. Our gift cards can be used to shop online or redeemed in-store with no additional fees.
