Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Is there a sale for the 4th of July?

The Home Depot 4th of July Sale is an excellent time to buy laundry and kitchen appliances. It runs from June 16th to July 9th. We've got sales on dishwashers and refrigerators, as well as grills, outdoor power equipment, and tools, too. Shop online at your convenience, or stop by the store today.

Should I get a portable generator or an inverter generator?

Restore electricity in your home even after severe storms and wind take it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are cleaner and quieter than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making more noise when they create more power. When browsing generators, keep in mind that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows.

What kinds of moving boxes do you have?

Pick up an assortment of moving boxes to make moving and storage easier. We've got the sizes you need, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Look into our rental moving trucks, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

What home repairs should I make sooner rather than later?

Make sure your home is ready for summer storms by replacing or repairing broken parts of your home and hardscaping. If water flows into the crevices, you could be headed for trouble. Check brick and cinder blocks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. On the outside of your home, examine roof shingles or metal roofs for damage or rust that could let water in. Clean gutters to prevent water from pooling on the roof. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be changed if they're damaged.

Do you have doorbell cameras?

Enjoy safety, peace of mind, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a window when you can see human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off would-be porch pirates. Several cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.

Short on carpet and customer service
On 4/26/23 I purchased 24 yards (18 ft length) of 12' Elevations carpet at Home Depot store #8440 for DIY installation. On 5/7/24, my husband and I spent several hours clearing furniture from our screened porch, prepping the subfloor, and installing the carpet. As we approached the final section, we realized that we were short more than 1 foot of carpet. We measured and found we'd be given 16 ft 1" carpet, having ordered and paid for 18 ft. By that point, having put hours of labor into laying the carpet, we were not interested in receiving another piece of carpet and starting over. Thankfully there was a cutout from which we could create a piece to fill the gap. I feel I should have been refunded the full cost of the carpet in compensation for employee negligence, but the manager would only discount my purchase by the missing amount of carpet plus $50. She seemed entirely unsympathetic to the frustration that this mistake caused. I left feeling that I'd been thrown a bone and was unappreciated as a customer. Refunding the full price of the carpet would have only cost another $74, so this is not an issue of money. It's an issue of customer service--which otherwise at this store has been good. I've been coming here for years and will probably come back for anything that doesn't need to be carefully measured.

Experience at store: great. Experience with Home Depot (policies): not so much.
All was good, until I got home and saw an email from Home Depot with an offer of $15 off a $100 purchase. The purchase I made totaled over $128. When I called the store to see if I could redeem the offer, I was told I had to bring everything back, return it, then re-purchase it. As some of the items were flowers which had already been planted, that was obviously not an option. It's too bad you treat customers this way. If you make an offer, good customer relations would be to honor it without unnecessary inconvenience.

Staff is no help, state police patrol the store
Demoralized, disorganized store with staff who are either ignoring you or unable to help you. A much greater number of bays under lock and key in every aisle, and I guess this store gets ripped off regularly, because a Delaware State policeman was patrolling up and down the aisles. Truly sad.

Home depot does not carry repair parts for defective water heater they sell.
Bought a Rheem gas water heater from Home Depot and installed it. Attempted to start the heater and could not as it had a defective gas control. Did this on a Saturday and have to wait until Wednesday for part to arrive from Rheem. Home depot should stock the repair parts for equipment they sell. Five days without hot water is no fun.

              Great employee service
Dave was fantastic. He assisted me in a window blind replacement. I brought in my old blind to make sure the new one would it. He had my 9 year old granddaughter who was with me assist him in measuring twice and he showed her how he cut the blind once. It fit perfectly! Home Depot is very lucky to have Dave as an employee!

Had everything I needed at a great price and was able to schedule delivery in a timely manner.
The manager I believe Lisa and associates specifically Jackie Haynes and her colleagues in her area were extremely knowledgeable and helpful regarding my questions, needs, and purchases. They all really helped to guide me in the best direction.

                    Love this smaller HomeDepot!
This store is very close to my home and thus very convenient. Usually they have everything I need, but if they don't, the employees are very helpful in telling me where I can find it. The employees are very helpful here. Also it's never crowded, so it's a breeze to zip in and out of.
