I have these poles. What is the depth (or length) for a concrete post (using sonotubes and quickrete) that would be correct ? 4 feet long or can a 2 feet base be good enough ? The base will be level with the surrounding lawn or maybe 1 or 2 inches visible

      Poles don't stand up straight
Mounted these poles to our deck to hang string lights and they look like they might give out. I'm a little worried about what might happen on a windy day.

        Best Light Poles I've Had
These poles are great overall. The ground stake is long, but having the rebar really helps. Tip: Plant the longer end of stake facing in the direction of the light string to minimize leaning. I inserted a 10' galvanized steel pipe (1/2") to provide more sturdiness. To do this, I had to remove the section tabs (that secure the pole sections), so I used a 1/4" rubber plug with a flat top to plug up the hole so the sections wouldn't slip. Note: the poles will lean with more wire tension.

          Well made yard light poles
Just put one up the other day and this is absolutely perfect. Can't wait to put up the rest. The pole is very sturdy, and has two options to install - screw down, or stake into ground. Or my third personal option, zip tie to a fence post. The height is great, keeps the lights above your head so you don't walk into them. And has held up to the weather (wind and rain) so far. Unsure if I'll leave out for winter. The poles slide into each other easily, and have a good powdercoat on them. Looking forward to years of use.

          Sturdy but Elegant
The Excello light pole kit is excellent, and we are well pleased. The gage of the metal is thick, and the base is strong. The powder coating gives me confidence that the pole will not rust for a few years. The height of the pole can be set at 10’ or 7’, plenty of height for any occasion. The kit gives you three install options, wood, concrete or ground. At ten feet, the poles are designed to let the lights lag in the middle. Tightening the line to remove the slack will cause the pole to lean a little, but they are sturdy enough to hold. The assembly is easy, but an extra hand will be convenient. The length of the pole can be a little awkward. Overall I am glad we got the poles. You can see in the picture the lights are just the right amount of illumination.

          Light poles
These 10 foot light poles are awesome. Prior to getting these I had a large post in a bucket and was streaming rays of light off it to the house. These poles allowed me to make a square and light my entire patio vs one area. The poles are very sturdy. The come with anchors you pound into the ground that you can reinforce with rebar or you can use the plate which allows you to drill directly into cement or wood. I put mine in the ground without rebar and it has been solid for me. I’m curious how these will stand up against an Ohio winter. Awesome light poles, a very easy way help set up lighting to your property

          String Light hanging solution
Nothing adds to the charm and functionality of an outdoor space like string lights. These popular lights are in use in many places at the home. A problem has been is how to string them with proper support. Usually you needed to attach hooks to an existing wall or construct a wooden pole system for support. Another challenge is you need about 10 feet to clearance at the start of a run, as the lights will drop down as they span across. This kit from Excello Global products solves the problem in a cost effective and economic fashion. The kit comes with four 10-foot-long metal black powder coated poles with two mounting options. One is a flat plate end that has 3 screw holes for mounting on a deck or hard surface, the other is a yard stake that can be driven into earth to provide a solid footing. You can reinforce the 9 1/2 long yard stake with either rock or even concrete to secure the mount if needed. You can add a section of rebar to add stability and use a piece of wood or a rubber mallet when driving so you don’t damage the top of the stake. The poles come in three sections which snap together. The top end pole has an installed snap/carabiner hook for securing cable. These stakes will work well with runs about 10-2 feet long, so space them accordingly. I would not recommend using these with sails, as the wind load could damage the stakes. Also, as with any stake or pole, getting them perfectly straight and keeping them straight is a challenge – I recommend installing at a slight outward angle away from where you are going to place the load, and as the light are strung you can pull the poles straight (or close) with the cable. If you try to use them for long runs or overload them, you may be disappointed with the results

Great for lights but also shades!
These poles are awesome for hanging string lights if you don’t have other spots to attach lights to, but we also love the look with a triangle shade sail! It provides a lot of new shade, although you’ll need to shift the chairs underneath depending on where the sun is that time of day. The string lights give a bit of a restaurant vibe, in a good way!

          TALL 10' String Light Poles
Excello Global 10' String Light Poles come in three sections per pole (four poles) and have either a dirt or deck attachment base. The dirt base could be longer for softer dirt like mine. For hard pan, it may be tough to drive into the dirt without wood and a mallet. The poles are thin, so be careful when pounding to not distort the top. The poles attach to each other with push pins. The clips at the top could be stronger. They are small carabiner type clips and look like they will eventually break. Easy to install, black color. They are not powder coated. They would have to be removed for rainy or snowy weather as they eventually would corrode from moisture.

used as SIX poles of 83" each
We are not using these for light strings. This system was perfect for hanging netting at about 7 feet tall to help guide our new hedge growth to be secured taller but 2 feet away from our wood fence. I used four of the pole holders that have a stake feature to pound into the ground. I then used two of the concrete pole holders and secured them with a wooden stake in the middle. The system includes 12 poles. To create six 7' poles of I used two pole sections for each. This is exactly what we needed. EXCELLO GLOBAL PRODUCTS Four 10 ft. String Light Poles
