Table smells like someone died in the box

I’m sending it back. I can’t take the smell. I’ll pay double elsewhere.

We got this table back when it was $300 and it was such a great purchase! Easy to assemble, although heavy. Really durable and sturdy and we love the uniqueness of the wood finish. We also purchased the correspond bench. We get compliments on our table all the time. Highly recommend!

beautiful table

table is beautiful especially after a couple of modifications. Like others have noted the table doesn't seem to have a finish. The grey finish appears to maybe be a wax finish but doesn't hold up to regular table use. I ended up sanding off most of the grey finish using 80 grit sandpaper and then applying a matte water based polyurethane using 3 coats. If a spot wasn't what I wanted I used 220 grit paper to redo the spot....used a staining pad for the last coat and the table turned out stunning. I love this table and I got it for a really great price....its worth way more then I paid.

Flawless table

I couldn’t have asked for a better table it’s big and the color is beautiful. My order arrived earlier than expected from a private shipper in perfect condition easy to assemble but deff heavy. Thinking I may need to seal the table but I don’t want to alter it’s color. Table is a 10/10

Solid Grey Table, Easy to Construct

Table highlights: -Solid wood! It's super heavy (186 pounds in the package) and the natural variations in the wood make it unique and beautiful. I think it looks like a table you'd have to have commissioned, not something you'd buy from your run of the mill store. -Easy to put together - basically it's just screwing in the legs with two screws each -It is more grey than honey colored, which I wasn't expecting based on the pictures I saw online. It could just be that each table is different depending on when it's made, but that's a slight risk, depending on how concerned you are with the coloring and variation. I will say, the seams where the legs meet the table top aren't perfect, and I'll likely have to seal the table based on the texture of the table and other reviews I read. Overall though - great value for a beautiful table! Home Depot Ship to Store was a hassle to work with and I would NOT recommend it. (Plus, the table is very heavy so it's worth it to pay for shipping if it fits in your budget.) My table took WAY too long to arrive, then once it did arrive, it sat in the store for days without being logged into the system. I wasn't even sent a notification that it was ready, I had to track down multiple local and national Home Depot employees to get any information on my table. It will be a long time before I order anything from Home Depot again.

Love this table. Very solid. Beautiful wood grain. Great value, I think. It was easy to assemble but BEWARE this is one HEAVY table! It was delivered to our driveway & my husband and I nearly killed each other trying to get it in the house. Ended up opening the box and dragging in the pieces one by one...but it was worth it because we love the table!!! I recommend adding felt pads to save your floors!

We all write reviews when things go wrong. But in this case, I had to write a review to say how much satisfy I was with the table and the whole ordering experience. I will go straight to the point. The table is rock solid. It is exactly how it looks in the website pics and it is heavy, which makes at first glance that it might last for a long time. It is very easy to assembly and it look very rustic. So here is my opinion: Pros: 1- Heavy table. That for me is a pro because it feels the wood is a good quality and it will last a long time. Besides, the table wont be shifting easily when bumping on it. 2- Very rustic look. there are imperfections on it, which that makes rustic for me. If you are looking for something without imperfections, this might not be for you. Cons: Not much a con but I would like that the manufacture included some cleaning advice and some sealant options. Because I am not sure how the table will respond over the time with some type of food or drinks spilled on top of it, if is going to stain or not. Like I said, it is very rustic and raw filling so be careful on things it might stain the table.

I read many negative reviews. But often times I seem to have a lucky horseshoe and get the good one. My table and the bench I also purchased indeed were fine. No cracks,nothing broken or disfigured. The only negative I would have to say about these items is others posted they did NOT feel the product had any type of protective coating on it. I would have to agree. When you run your hand on it. feels like bare wood. My son in law set a water on the table and it left a ring. I quickly was able to remove the watermark! I didn't want it to get ruined so I spent a few hours applying a matt poly clear coat to it all. I was a little bummed to have to work on something I had just purchased ,I should have been able to assemble and use.What most upset me was myself. When doing the table I wasn't perfect the polyurethane got tacky and gobbed a little towards the edge and now I will need to sand a spot I'm not happy with.It does change the color once a coating is applied. Turned out a bit brown instead of the smoke grey color I ordered. On the plus side. Its real wood and anytime I want something different. I can sand it down and have it become whatever I want. Then I have a new table again. Whether I choose a grey smoke stain like I originally wanted/ordered or perhaps a distressed finish. the possibilities are endless. I priced other real wood tables at many different places. And this was the cheapest. Got it on sale. Others I looked at ranged way higher $700-1000. So overall I am a happy camper
