A:  Yes, you don't have to use the included receiver and can wire directly to fan rated wall controls. you must use a fan rated wall switch that has "stepped" fan speed controls. Basically a wall switch that has speed selections 1-3.

A:  Home Depot Customer service can get you an LED replacement, about $46 and shipping. Take the time to get your UPC number off of the fan first. There is a sticker mounted on the top of the motor housing. I took a picture of the labels as they had the model number (YG-327B, which did not match my owners' manual), item#, and UPC. In my case, the LED Kit was not the issue. It was the LED Driver (Step down transformer) mounted inside the fan motor housing. I had to be put in touch with Hampton Bay for that part ($15), fairly easy to wire in, but I had to take the fan down and completely apart.

A:  Not that I am aware of, I have had it for about a year with no problems. My thought would be a remote problem. I would change the remote control number sequence, you could be getting interference from some other remote controlled item in your home.

A:  We've had our two fans for about six months - that has never happened.
