About This Product
This 3-speed, 30 in., KitchenAid vent hood has power to effectively vent an output of up to 65000 BTUs. The powerful motor handles your most aromatic ingredients with a Whisper Quiet System that operates at levels that allow you to carry on a conversation: just 49 dBA (1.5 sones) at Low Speed, is 65 dBA (5.4 sones) at Maximum Speed. Plus Auto Sense allows the range hood fan to turn on automatically when it senses heat higher than its allowable temperature limit. When Auto Sense is On, the fan speed will increase or decrease based on the temperature Auto Sense is measuring.

- Recommended for use with cooktops with a maximum total rating of 65000 BTUs or less
- Sleep mode: the range hood automatically enters Sleep Mode when not in use. After 10 minutes of no range hood activity, all of the control button lights will turn off

Amazing!
I bought this for our kitchen remodel in July. In all honesty, I got it for the design aspect that I was going for and I am glad I did. My contractor said it was the best range hood he has ever installed. The quality is impeccable and the exhaust fan is powerful enough to suck up a small child…just kidding.

Stylish Design, Works Well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this range hood for a recent kitchen remodel. I liked that this model looked more modern than others from KitchenAid because the bottom part is flat and not domed. I got the recirculating kit because it would have been too expensive to vent up to the roof, but so far it's working much better than the fan that was under my old microwave that was over the range. The lights are bright white in front, and pressing the button a second time turns on a softer light in the back that seems like a night light. The highest fan setting is a little loud, but the lowest setting is quiet and works well enough for everything I've cooked so far.

Simple yet elegant
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Nice design that compliments the range, however it is loud. There are bathroom exhaust fans that move comparable air with far less noise.
The soft light from the rear lamp is a nice feature and offers a pleasant mood while highlighting the tiled wall and range.

Huge, but beuatiful
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was initially shocked at the size of this hood upon its installation. I had not seen it displayed in person, which was my mistake. Once completely installed though, it is a focal point, for sure! While the chimney section is wider than I would have preferred, it still looks terrific. Such an improvement over our old ventilation system. The two settings light fixture is great, the front lights being LED and the rear (low) light achieves a more subdued look for evening. Fan is relatively quiet, though I have not yet used the 'power boost' high setting.
