13 in. Jobsite Work Tool Box

A:  10.5 x 10.5 at base, 11.5 x11.5 at lid, outside dim. 13" high lid off (red section) 16 high lid on.

A:  The inside usable dimensions are 10.5" by 10.5" and is 13" high to the top of the red section. The black top is about 3.5 " tall, but the usable height adds only 2 additional inches to the 13" height. There is a removable narrow depth tray that takes half of the area at the top.

A:  I don't have the specifics on the mil but it I can climb on it and it holds me without breaking a sweat and I weight around 260lbs.

A:  No, but it does have a drip edge like system so if the lid is on water wont run inside of it.

A:  No it does not come with any type of rubber gasket. There is a reasonable overlap between the lid and the lower portion to reject for example rain while in an upright position. I have purchased both and the 26" Jobsite box has a rubber seal but the 13" does not. In its' defense the cover fits differently on the 13". It rests on top of the box while the 26" is normally hinged making it easier to seal it.

A:  No. This tool box is not water tight.LI

A:  Tyler: This jobsite tool box does not have a rubber seal on the lid to seal out moisture, etc.

A:  The handle when pushed down on the Milwaukee Logo side of the box secures the lid so it will not come off . If the handle is pushed down the opposite side from the Logo it is not secure at all . A padlock would be necessary to prevent unauthorized entry

A:  Once you flip the handle up the lid is locked in place. As you carry it or during transportation once the handle is up it won’t open. Flip handle Down to release.

A:  It would slow them down but being plastic it's not indestructible.

A:  The lid goes on and then the handle swings up securing the lid so it doesn't move. There is a place to put a lock to prevent someone from opening the toolbox, but a determined thief will be able to break it open of course.

A:  Padlock won’t work . Flip the handle up to lock in place

A:  Yes a padlock will prevent pilfering but both parts are plastic so you can cut through them easily. That is the nature of a plastic box but you will know if someone does this.

A:  So the lid locks when you rotate the handle to the upright position. And you have to rotate the handle down to one side to get the lid off. But there is also a hole/spot in one of the corners that would allow you to put a lock if you wanted to secure the lid to the base. So yes if you put a lock on the corner where the hole is you could prevent someone from getting in because it wouldn’t allow them to rotate the handle to release the lid.... so really the lock ensures that the handle stays in place preventing them from being able to get the lid off. But if they really wanted to get in and had some tools with them to cut the lock off or cut through the plastic corner where the lock is then it wouldn’t be impossible.... but this lil toolbox is such quality material and so sturdy it really is great to have on the job because it doubles as a stool to sit or stand on! I’m definitely happy I bought it. Gotta love Milwaukee! Best there is
