- Use rug protectors under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening piles
- New wool rugs shed as a natural consequence of how they are made; vacuum a new wool rug 1-2 times a week for the first few weeks using a low pressure vacuum cleaner without beater bars; vacuum in the direction of the pile, not against it; do not pull loose ends or stray loops, clip them with scissors to remove
- Avoid direct sunlight as it will cause the colors in your area rug to fade over time; place your area rug away from direct sunlight whenever possible
- Packing and shipping of your rug may cause temporary creases; these surface waves are not imperfections or damages and will gradually recede; back-rolling or reverse rolling is the fastest and easiest way to remove creases in your area rug; allow ample time for your rug to settle, these creases and waves will normally flatten out

Design Detail Lacking
Rug arrived quickly and the colors were pretty much as expected. However, the actual rug lacks the design detail as depicted on the on-line pictures. In actuality, the design of the rug is much less complex or detailed, which was disappointing. I have attached 2 pictures so that you can see the actual detail vs. what is depicted online. One is the actual rug; the other is the same section of the rug cropped from the online picture.

A beautiful, dark, rich looking rug which highlighted my fireplace beautifully. Unfortunately, it made a nearby carpet look washed out, so I returned it and bought another one from Home Depot which went better with the entire room.

The rug is lovely and color is as pictured. A couple of things tho. Be prepared to sweep it a lot as it sheds for a couple of weeks. Also it had a bad odor and I tried several things finally found something that helped and put it out in the sun every day for a
Week Then went to Ned Bath and Beyond and found Oder control spray that worked.

Thank you Hello - Thank you for your review. Shedding is common in all Wool Rugs. What happens is there is loose wool and this will fall out. The most shedding will occur in the first few months. Over time, this will be less and less but it will still continue. This is also mentioned on the back label of your rugfor your review. Please also note that Generally new rugs emit an odor. Airing out the rug in a well ventilated area generally solves the problem.
