Q:What nails am I supposed to use for this siding ?

A: Hello. Thank you for your question. Use only corrosion-resistant box, casing or siding nails. Use 6d nails for panels less than 1/2” thick (a minimum of 5/8” from panel edge). When applied over wood or plywood sheathing, nails must penetrate 1” into the studs. When gypsum sheathing is used, nails must penetrate 1-1/2” into the framing.

Q:I looks like these are 4" OC grooves, but Roseburg responded to questions saying this is 8" OC. In the pictures, it looks like there are 11 grooves / 12 face board strips per panel. Doesn't this mean the grooves are 4" OC since these are 4' x 8' panels???

Absolutely terrible. Unpaintable.

I've used T1-11 before so I have some experience with it and it has generally been positive. This stuff, however, is a nightmare. The "finish" on the exterior side (ie, the side with the grooves) was so rough and poorly done that wood flakes would fall off when running my hand up the side of it. Because of this coarse texture, it was nearly impossible to paint and it was taking nearly a quarter gallon of primer just to cover one 4 x 8 sheet. I ended up having to use an electric planer to shave off as much as the fuzz as I could to create a paintable surface on the other sheets.

All the siding was warped had a hard time with installing due to be warped. Associate brought it from the back of store banded but when they cut bands all of it was warped. You would think since it was banded it would not have been warped. No satisfied with the product at all.
