The Home Depot Rental Center at Yakima

Kick off your DIY project with confidence and the best tools. Let The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Yakima fill in the gaps in your toolbox with the tools you don't have at home. Rent a tool and return it when you're finished. If you need to add those tools in your toolbox permanently, inquire about buying our retired rental tools. The retired rental tools are discounted compared to the new items in our aisles.

Tame the Lawn and Greenery Early
Greet the spring with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the lawn and shrubs with rental trimmers and edgers, and get that driveway and sidewalk clean again with a pressure washer rental. Your outdoor oasis will be looking fresh and ready for new spring flowers before you know it.

Insulation
To make your home more energy efficient, upgrade your insulation. Rent equipment made for insulation to install it correctly. Choose from a cellulose insulation blower or a fiberglass blower, and insulate those nooks and crannies well. You'll enjoy steadier utility bills and a more consistent home temperature with new insulation.

Load 'N Go Trucks
If you're renting a large tool but don't have room in your vehicle, we can help with that too. Check out our Load 'N Go rental vehicles and rent a truck. Don't take up driveway space with an old truck for the rare occasion of hauling items. Just rent a moving truck when you need it and keep your driveway open for grilling, hopscotch, or a round of hoops.

How do I rent trucks or tools?

Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what tools and trucks are up for rent. If you want confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a tool or truck. You can also visit our tool rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is in stock at your store. For more on renting tools, read our Tool Rental FAQs, which includes terms and conditions for the equipment.

Can I rent a tool for a day?

You can rent a tool for four hours or more. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small home improvement jobs may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the week, month, or day, too. If you need it longer than what you signed up for, call your Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I bring the tools back?

You're welcome to return the tools early if you complete your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off mud and grime from the tool as well. If you need it longer, call your rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.

How long can I rent a truck?

Rent a moving van or truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on the length of your project. Remember to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you must bring it back to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the documentation before selecting a van.

Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?

Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Match the amount of gas that was in the tank when you got the rental. If you don't, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?

No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
