RV Accessories and RV Supplies

Some RV accessories will allow you to enjoy the outdoors, but still be comfortable and have some conveniences of home.

• Outdoor rugs provide a clean and dry area outside of your RV. They can set the scene for entertaining or just relaxing at the campsite.
• Find heavy-duty foldable camping chairs with comfortable cushions. Some models have attached side tables or cup holders.
• Fit an RV awning sun screen to your rig. An awning sun screen can increase the feeling of privacy while you’re outside your RV. The top of the screen attaches to your camper’s awning and the bottom edge anchors to the ground with spikes.
• A pop-up screen shelter can create a bug-free environment and a place to socialize. Most screened-in shelters have enough room for a table and a few people.
• Personalize your campsite with unique RV accessories that reflect your style. Mark your spot with a garden flag. Hang themed string lights for a festive patio.
• Campfire roasting sticks can extend over an open fire to roast marshmallows or hot dogs. These roasting sticks collapse for easy storage.
• Campsite grills can be hit or miss. Use your own folding portable grill to enjoy consistent outdoor cooking. A portable grill won’t takeup too much valuable cargo space.
• Want to keep up with television shows and sporting events while you’re on the road? Get a roof-mounted satellite TV antenna for your RV. You'll be able to watch programming no matter where you are.

Before you head out on a trip, check the condition of important parts of your RV. A great trip can go downhill quickly if your plumbing or electrical equipment isn’t working. Consider carrying backup RV supplies and parts as space permits.

For waste disposal:

• Use a quality sewer hose. It should be long enough to connect your waste tank to the campground dump station is the preferred waste removal method.
• With a ready-to-use holding tank kit, you can move waste from your RV or trailer to the dump station when you’re parked too far away to use a sewer hose.

• Use an adjustable water pressure regulator to protect your hoses and plumbing from damage caused by high-pressure water.
• Always travel with a spare RV water filter. The filter keeps sediment and other particles out of your water pump.

For power:

• Household extension cords won’t work for supplying electricity to an RV. Check which amperage rating you’ll need for a power cord before buying this important RV accessory.
• When you aren’t parked at a location with full hook-ups, you will need a solar panel kit for RVs or a generator.
• A portable lithium battery mobile power station can be used to charge electronics such as drones, cameras and smartphones.
• A surge protector can help protect your electronics from voltage spikes and other issues. Look for a model that offers protection from common issues like low voltage and reverse polarity, as well as from voltage spikes.

Some RV accessories can make arriving, setting up camp and preparing for the next trip a little bit easier.

• Use ratcheting tie-downs and bungee cords to secure your gear before you hit the road.
