Hang the Star of the Show

Give your wreath the year off and let a statement-making holiday star steal the show.
It's a great way to add a pop of color to the door to stand out in a sea of greenery.
If your front door doesn’t already have a hook, affix one of the adhesive hooks to it and then hang the star.
Here's what you'll need to recreate our door decor:
- Star wall hanging
- Garland
- Stool
- Decorative container
- Christmas ornaments
- Flameless candles
- Seasonal rug
- String lights
- Batteries
- Adhesive hooks
- Step ladder
Adorn the Door with Garland

Attach adhesive hooks beside the upper corners of your front door’s frame. Hang the garland across the top of the door, letting it drape down along the sides of the door.
While you can use unlit garland, we opted for lit. For lit garland, place batteries in the garland and test the lights to make sure they work prior to hanging.
For a bit more sparkle, you can frame any front-facing windows with the string lights.
Add a Festive Rug and Stool

An easy way to welcome the season to your front door is by swapping out your usual mat with a seasonally inspired design.
Choose one design, like the plaid one we chose, or consider layering a holiday patterned rug over a natural fiber rug for a cozier look.
Now, place a stool to the side of the door. You can use it to place a decorative container on top.
Bring on the Details

Fill the container with ornaments, sparing a few to arrange around the container.
Choose ornaments in bright and merry colors of the season. Place the smallest of the three candles next to the container.

Place the remaining two candles next to the doormat, with the shorter candle in front of the taller one.
Turn on the garland’s lights, the star’s light and the candles. Now you're ready to welcome the holidays in style.
