It’s officially time to kick off the holiday decorating season! In my home we celebrate Christmas so I'm going to start with getting my formal living room decked out for the most wonderful time of the year.
I started by taking some measurements to create a space plan. I’m probably going to need to move some furniture around to make room for the tree. I’m using the Bosch BLAZE 65 Foot Laser Distance Measuring Tool— it makes it so easy to get quick accurate measurements without needing a physical tape measure.

After I got the furniture moved out of the way, I assembled the new Christmas tree. I got a 7.5’ pre-lit Fraser Fir and it was super easy to set up. The sections just drop in and the lights automatically turn on.

Next, I wanted to add some simple decor above our piano — I just used some existing frames and threw in some festive holiday prints. I’m using the Bosch Laser Level to hang these up nice and straight. This tool casts a laser line across the wall and it’s self-leveling! It can even attach to a tripod!

I like to keep things simple and handmade so every year I make some cool snowflakes out of paper bags. It’s not hard to do at all, but this year, it was made even simpler with Ryobi! I used my new 18v Cordless Hot Glue gun to glue all the bags together.

I used the Ryobi USB Lithium Power Cutter to cut my designs into the bags.

They came out awesome!

When it was time to hang up the snowflakes, I grabbed my new Gorilla Ladders 5.5-foot Aluminum Ladder. It has a detachable project bucket, and the 10-foot reach means I can easily reach the ceilings in my home.

To hang the snowflakes from the ceiling, I used my “tried and true” combo of OOK invisible Hanging Wire and 3M Command Hooks.

I am super happy with the results of this little space. Getting this corner of the house decorated has really kicked off this holiday season. I can’t wait to decorate the rest of my house for the holidays!
