How to Add Custom Window Treatments

Window treatments are a great way to update your home. The Home Depot made the process of updating our window treatments from blinds to motorized shades simple and easy. The first step was visiting our local Home Depot store, where they had a wide selection of window treatments to choose from. There is an array of colors, shades, light filtering options and trendy designs. The light-filtering options allowed me to decide how much light I would like to enter my home through my shades. Our windows face a popular walking route in our neighborhood, so I loved the idea of having privacy without completely blocking out the natural light. Light-filtering options also help manage indoor temperatures by blocking out the heat or cold to keep your home comfortable all year round.
When I narrowed down my choices, I ordered swatches to be delivered to my home. I had the option to order up to 10 swatches with free next-day shipping. Having the swatches in my home helped me make a quick decision on which window treatments worked best for my home style.
Once I decided on the Veneta designer light-filtering motorized cellular shades, I contacted The Home Depot Pros to discuss what I need, how to order and any add-ons I might need. They also assisted in setting it up for a pro to come out and measure our windows. The Home Depot has a “Promise to Guarantee Fit,” which guarantees that if our window treatments don’t fit when they arrive, then they would send new treatments at no additional cost. This took the pressure off and made the process to have our window treatments installed through The Home Depot so easy. A Pro came out in no time to measure our windows.
I was so excited the day our shades arrived and called to schedule installation. A Pro was guaranteed to confirm my installation appointment within 48 hours. I was able to schedule my appointment around my family’s needs.
The day of installation a pro arrived and installed my window treatments seamlessly. All of our window treatments fit perfectly. He even set up the remote that controls the functions of our shades, provided instructions on how to use it and answered all my questions.

You can see how the Veneta cellular shades provide the perfect amount of privacy, natural light and designer style. The update has made my home feel more modern and bright. Because I have a small child, going with the cordless motor option is a great safety feature. We also have hard-to-reach windows in our kitchen due to a built-in bench in front of the windows and our dining table, so opening our shades in the morning has never been easier. We are so happy with the Veneta shades and how easy The Home Depot made the process from measurement to installation.
