Spring Sunroom & Outdoor Patio Refresh

Hello everyone! Winter is behind us, and we are gearing up for warmer weather outdoors! In this blog, you will see how we are setting up both our sunroom and our patio for spring with products exclusively sold at The Home Depot.

Indoor Sunroom

When we bought our house over a decade ago, we were so excited to see that it came with a little screened porch/sunroom addition on the back of the house. However, we quickly realized that we would only get to enjoy this room during the spring and the fall due to the extreme temperatures of the summer and winter. Since spring is the perfect season to be in this room, we decided to set up this area so that we could really enjoy it.

Last year, I built this DIY Hanging Plant Shelf for our sunroom using a few cedar fence picket boards and natural rope we picked up at our local Home Depot.

Since the weather is getting warmer, we are bringing out our indoor plants to get some extra sunlight. We purchased most of our indoor plants at our local Home Depot last year, and they have been doing great! Of course, we had to pick up a few more this Spring to add to our collection!
Some of the plants we love are the**:** Scindapsus Sterling, Cactus, Golden Pathos, Ficus Bonsai, and Sansevieria Snake Plant. Also, you can use this helpful Planters Buying Guide if you need help figuring out which plants, planters, or stands to get!

After we convinced ourselves, we had enough plants, we decided to pick up this 3-piece Bistro Set to put in the corner of our room. We thought it would fit perfectly in this space, and we were right! We absolutely love that it is simple, sturdy, and saves space!

Lastly, we threw in a couple of 18”x18” throw pillows and this cotton rope pillow coverto tie everything together. We are thankful that with just a couple of small upgrades, we have turned a small corner of our home into one of our favorite spots to enjoy the morning sun and a cup of coffee.
Outdoor Patio

A couple of summers ago we built this brick paver outdoor patio and have been using it non-stop for hosting guests or enjoying outdoor meals with the family. Now that spring is in the air, we wanted to prep this space so that we are ready to host guests and cook a meal outside!

While we were at our local Home Depot, we picked out a few outdoor live plantsand this awesome Loco 26” propane griddle. We are so excited about being able to cook outside on the patio!

This cooktop is large and has plenty of room to prepare a full breakfast, lunch, or dinner outdoors. I still need to master cooking on a griddle, but we were immediately impressed with the taste of our burgers.

Speaking of propane, did you know that the 5-Piece Wicker Fire Pit Seating Set connects to a propane tank so that you can have a fire in the middle of your meal? Better yet, this 55,000 BTU fire pit doubles as a high dining table so that you can enjoy a little warmth while sharing a meal outside with family or friends.

What do you think? We are thrilled that everything came together so easily and very happy with the various products we found. We were able to spend a small amount of time inside and outside and now feel like we are in full swing for this Spring season!
