When it's time to dive into a major home improvement project, you might not have everything you need in your workshop. Don't let that stop you when you can stop by The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Alafaya Trail.
Tool and Equipment Rental
Our tool rental options enlarge your toolbox and toolbelt with the precise tools you need to complete your project. It's impractical to get a specific tool when you're only using it once in a while. When you're thinking about getting a new tool, try it out first before you choose which one to buy. Whatever your situation, we have just what you're looking for.
Tame the Bushes and Lawn Early
Greet the spring with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten around the garden and shrubs with rental lawn mowers and string trimmers, and get that driveway clean again with a pressure washer rental. Your outdoor oasis will be ready for new spring flowers in no time.
Make Painting Easier with Ladder and Paint Sprayer Rentals
Take advantage of warmer weather to paint outdoors. Rent paint sprayers to get professional coverage and work much faster than you would with a brush or roller and a paint tray. Scaffolding rentals help you reach elevated places when painting fences, houses, and sheds. We carry step ladders and extension ladders for small to medium jobs, so you won't have to wait when you're ready to get that job done.
Truck Rental
For transporting large tool rentals or anything else, we keep trucks and cargo vans ready to roll — with availability varying by store. Choose the correct size truck rental for your DIY project so you can keep your job on track. As your trusted source for DIY projects, packing, and storage needs, it's simple to make us your source for transport and moving as well.
To get transportation and tools for your moving or DIY project, check out The Home Depot Alafaya Trail Tool and Truck Rental Center. Having the correct tools for the job makes a difference. We're here to help you get your project done.
How do I rent trucks and tools?
Stop by your local Rental Center to see what tools and trucks are up for rent. If you want confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a tool or truck. You can also check out our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is available at your favorite store. For more info on renting tools, read these Tool Rental FAQs, including equipment terms and conditions.
Can I rent tools by the hour?
Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small DIY jobs may only require a rental for a few hours, and bigger jobs can also be accommodated. You've got options to rent tools by the week, month, or day, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call the Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I return the tools?
You can return the tools early if you complete your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off residual dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need them longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I choose how long to rent a truck?
Rent a box truck, cargo van, or pickup truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on the length of your project. Be sure to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you must return it to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the provided documentation before you choose a vehicle.
Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Note the fuel level when you receive the truck, and fill it with enough gas to match that level. When you don't refill the rental vehicle, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?
No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
