Tool rentals and large equipment rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small home improvement projects may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and bigger jobs are no problem. You've got options to rent tools by the day, week, or month, too. If you need it longer than what you signed up for, call your Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.

You can return the tools early if you finish your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off any mud or dirt from the tool as well. If you need them longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.

Rent a cargo van, box truck, or pickup truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on the length of your project. Remember to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Yes, please fuel up the truck before you return it. Note the fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. When you don't refill the rental truck, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck. Large equipment or select tools also require ID verification via CLEAR.

Depending on your location, you can get large equipment delivered straight to your job site for a reasonable cost — whether that's at your home or out in the field.
