Tool Rental
Kick off your home improvement project with confidence and the correct tools for the job. Let The Home Depot Aurora, CO Tool Rental Center expand your toolbox with the tools you don't have at home. Rent a tool and return it when the job is done. If it turns out the rental tools would be more useful than you thought, inquire about buying our retired rental tools. Compared to the new items on our store shelves, they're discounted.
Add Insulation When the Weather is Cooler
For a more energy-efficient home, refresh your insulation in the spring — before it gets dangerously hot in the attic. Rent equipment made for insulation to get it installed correctly. Choose from a fiberglass blower or a cellulose insulation blower, and get those nooks and crannies insulated with ease. Help keep your heating and cooling bills under control with new insulation that maintains your home's temperature.
Tame the Bushes and Lawn Early
Greet the spring with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the yard with a rental lawn mower and leaf blower, the trees and hedges with a chainsaw rental, and the driveway and sidewalks with a rental pressure washer. Your outdoor oasis will be looking fresh and ready for new spring flowers before you know it.
Rental Trucks
Choose one of our trucks when you're in need of a flatbed or pickup truck. It's great for hauling a large purchase or tool rental. With an excellent price and availability, our vehicles are ready to roll, so you can keep moving on your project. We've also got Penske moving trucks and box trucks to help ease the stress of a big move. Availability varies by store, so check the FAQ or speak to an Orange Apron to make sure you choose the right rental truck for you.

How do I rent a tool or moving truck?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see which tools or trucks you can rent. If you'd like confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a truck or tool. You could also check out our truck rental or tool and equipment rental pages to see if what you need is in stock at your favorite store. For more details on renting tools, read these Tool Rental FAQs, including terms and conditions for the equipment.
Can I rent tools by the hour?
You can rent a tool for four hours or more. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY projects may only require a rental for a few hours, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the week, month, or day, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call the Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.
When can I bring the tools back?
It's fine to return the tools early if you finish your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off mud and grime from the tool as well. If you need it longer, call the rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I rent a truck for a few hours?
Rent a truck or cargo van for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on the length of your project. Remember to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you must return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the provided documentation before selecting a truck.
Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Make a note of the amount of gas in the tank when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. When you don't refill the rental truck, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?
No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
