Take on any new DIY project with the tools you need — even if you don't have them on hand. Rent tools, use them, and take them back when you're done. Complete your project without cluttering up your workshop or basement with tools you rarely reach for.
Tool Rental
The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Avondale helps you handle more complicated DIY projects. You won't be limited by only what you have on hand or have to settle for untrustworthy hand-me-down tools. Rent quality tools to complete your project confidently and safely. If your local store doesn't have the needed tool in stock, you might find it at another store within driving distance.
Add Insulation When the Weather is Cooler
For a more energy-efficient home, update your insulation in the spring, if possible — before it gets dangerously hot in the attic. Rent specialized equipment for insulation to get it installed correctly. Decide between a fiberglass blower or a cellulose insulation blower, and insulate those nooks and crannies well. Installing insulation keeps your home cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter, all while tempering your heating and cooling bills.
Tame the Bushes and Lawn Early
Lighten the load with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten around the garden and bushes with rental lawn mowers and trimmers, and get that driveway clean again with a pressure washer rental. Your outdoor oasis will be looking fresh and ready for new spring flowers in no time.
Truck Rental
To move large tool rentals or anything else, we keep cargo vans as well as Penske moving trucks on hand — with availability varying by store. You're sure to find the right size truck rental for your DIY project so you can keep your job on track. As your trusted source for DIY projects, storage needs, and packing, it's simple to make us your go-to source for moving and transport as well.
To get tools and transportation for your DIY or moving project, check out The Home Depot Tool and Truck Rental Center in Avondale. Renting the appropriate tools for the job makes a difference. We're here to help you get your project done.
How do I rent trucks and tools?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what tools and trucks are up for rent. If you want confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a tool or truck. You might also visit our truck rental or tool and equipment rental pages to see if what you need is in stock at your favorite store. For more on renting tools, read our Tool Rental FAQs, including terms and conditions for the equipment.
Can I rent a tool by the hour?
You can rent a tool for four hours or more. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY projects may only require a short rental period, and major projects aren't a problem either. You've got options to rent tools by the week, month, or day, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call your Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I return the tools?
It's fine to return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need them longer, call the rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I rent a truck for a week?
Rent a cargo van, box truck, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on how long your project is. Don't forget to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you'll need to return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the provided documentation before choosing a vehicle.
Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Match the level of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. When you don't refill the truck, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
