Tool Rental
Kick off your home improvement project with confidence and the right tools. Let The Home Depot Bartlett Tool Rental Center expand your toolbox with the items you don't have at home. You can rent the tools you need and return them when you've completed the project. If it makes sense to have those rental tools around all the time, ask about purchasing used tools. The retired rental tools are discounted compared to the new items in our aisles.
Make Painting Easier with Rental Scaffolding and Ladders
Take advantage of warmer weather to paint outdoors. Rent paint sprayers to get optimal coverage and work much faster than you would with a brush or roller and a paint tray. Rent scaffolding and ladders to reach elevated areas when painting fences, houses, and sheds. We carry step ladders and extension ladders for small to medium jobs, so you won't have to wait when you're ready to get that job done.
Tame the Lawn and Greenery Early
Lighten the load with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten around the garden and shrubs with rental lawn mowers and hedge trimmers, and get that driveway and sidewalk clean again with a pressure washer rental. Your outdoor oasis will be looking fresh and ready for new spring flowers before you know it.
Truck Rental
Choose one of our trucks when you need a cargo van or truck. It's great for hauling a tool rental or brand-new DIY supplies. With an excellent price and availability, our vehicles are ready when you are. We've also got Penske moving trucks and box trucks to help ease the stress of a big move. Availability varies by store, so check out the FAQ or speak to an associate to ensure you find the right rental truck for you.

How do I rent tools or trucks?
Stop by your local Rental Center to see what trucks or tools you can rent. If you want confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a tool or truck. You may also read our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is available at your store. For more on renting tools, read our Tool Rental FAQs, including terms and conditions for the equipment.
Can I rent tools by the hour?
Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY jobs may only require a rental for a few hours, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the day, week, or month, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call the Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I bring the tools back?
It's fine to return the tools early if you complete your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off any built-up dirt from the tool as well. If you need it longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I rent a truck for a week?
Rent a cargo van, box truck, or pickup truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on the length of your project. Remember to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you'll need to return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the documentation before you choose a vehicle.
Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?
Yes, please fill up the truck before you bring it back. Note the amount of gas in the tank when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that level. If you don't, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
