overall i really like HD. i called the day before asking if huskey plastic sheeting 10x100 feet was in stock and told yes by phone rep with store. and that cost was $20 but when i arrived the next day the product was not in stock. very disappointed. the in store clerk in the painting dept where the product is located was very helpful and apologized for the miss communication. however didn't offer solution like calling me when product in the store. or offering discount for my trouble. i spend alot of money at HD. there has to be a way to help a customer. i know i am one customer so won't hurt bottom line profit of the store but can lose a customer if this happens again. i was at a tractor supply in Gonzalez and they had the same product but at $40 so saving $20 is good, i don't know if the price is correct now. i have property between bastrop and gonzalez so the trip was okay to make. hope this helps. plus, the hardware dept where buy bolts and nuts could use a shelf lip or something to stop bolts from rolling off the shelf. have to put them on the floor. plus there is no measure stick or like HD wood yard stick to measure bolts. sometimes they are mixed up in bins and i cannot eye ball the length. had to get a wood yard stick from another place to do this. i mentioned this to a check out clerk and not much response like telling manager. i hope this can be done. guess has to come from corporate but seems associates can help with decisions to improve store operations that help customers. plus the plastic bags to put bolts in are not good. need small paper bags that easier hold them. plus, no pen or pencil to right price down. clerk at check out enters code from top of bolt which i understand. for clerk to tell me that the idea will be shared sure would give me belief my idea at least would be shared. not sure what surveys are for if ideas go without notice or consideration. i don't complain just trying to help . maybe HD could use a customer adviser ! associates get busy and follow corp and store policy. i understand that. sometimes customers see things employees can't. thank you for the opportunity to share and express my opinion. take care. i'll shop at HD agian. ! and do in Richardson too.

          Great Customer Service
          I am always happy with the service I get at Home Depot, Bastrop. They are always knowledgeable and don't seem to mind helping me. They make sure that I have what I need and get any help that I require (ie - pulling off shelf, loading my car, etc).

            Even though the store was out of product i was looking for, I was able to get another. Friendly staff that helped me which is different from before.
            Very happy with the service I received. Even though I could not find help with the product I wanted, I went to front desk to ask for help and the young man was very helpful. When he came to help me I realized they did not have the specific product I wanted. He did help me find a product similar. I let the cashier know the store did not have the specific item I wanted. The cashier was super.

              worst experience ever.!!
              after getting the run a round for an hour, - Vanessa Richie shows up to handle "my problem" she says, I told her that it was Home Depots problem, her problem that they Lost my toolbox that i just bought they day before. Vanessa then tells me that she will find mine, another 20 min's of her run around and her trying to have me take the dented up floor model, which i told her no, i want the one i paid for, that was tagged with my name and in a box, that it was a Christmas gift and that i felt insulted and belittle at the offer. again she stressed to me that i was the one being difficult and that i could take the floor model or have a new box one sent into the store, to come back and pick up another day. I again told Manager Vanessa that i want my toolbox tonight and that i was not the one who lost, / misplaced my purchase from the day before. now after an hour of this back and forth, Vanessa has the toolbox with the other customers name loaded up in my husbands truck, after removing the tagged name on it, then tells me that she will probably have to deal with the same issue now with that customer, I told Vanessa that it was her fault and the stores for the mess up, not my fault. I have Never in my life been more upset, and angry and as if I was such a nobody and a waste of her time. that is why I'm writing this e-mail, she didn't just ruin my night, she ruined my Christmas gift to my husband, I will now forever look at that toolbox and all I had to endure to get it picked up from the Home Depot, this awful experience will live on, for I will tell this story of the "toolbox" for years to come. I hope that something will be done, so that someone else will not have to go thur what I did. Bastrop, Tx

                Friendly, knowledgeable associate made this visit quick and easy and fun.
                Entering the paint department I was asked within minutes if I was needing any help. After explaining my need for certain painting samples, the associate found most of them in the racks and a couple of them by computer in record breaking time. After checking to see if I needed anything else she started preparing my 6 samples and was able to help 2 other customers and engaged all of us in friendly conversation about our painting projects and sharing some of her experiences and painting fails. She again checked to see if any of us needed anything else and she stated a few items that may be needed and I and another customer did in fact need 2 of the items she mentioned. She is an excellent staff person with awesome sales experience and technique. A big bonus also was that she was down to earth Texas friendly the whole time she was taking care of me and 2 other couples. She had us all talking and laughing with each other like we were out on the deck in the back yard. That was a fun time shopping at Home Depot.

                Ease of Check out
                I went to Home depot after first going to Lowes and waiting ion line behind 8 people and only 1 check out lane open. Home Depot was easy to find the products comparable pricing and products and the self checkout was easy to use and made my visit faster. The young lady near the self check out was eager to assist me when I asked for military discount after verifying my ID card.

                    Store isles in the front of store are very crowded with store items. Barely room for one cart to pass without knocking something down.
                    Isles close to entrance were crowded with merchandise leaving no room for carts to pass. Hard to find employe to help you with item (commode) we were purchasing. One checker for entire store on a busy Saturday afternoon. No one to load the 80 lb commode in our vehicle.

                      I would like to say we bought a washer from Home Depot and when we had a problem with it and the maker of the washer no longer fixed there washers here in Bastrop county and would not send someone here to fix it Home Depot was so awesome !! They had us come in and pick another wash machine and even though the washer we picked out was a little more expensive which we were more then willing to pay the deference Home Depot picked up the broken washer and delivered us the new one at no charge!! No extra charge...NOTHING!! My wife and I will never shop at any other store of this type.. Home Depot..... Thank you!!

                      Wonderful, friendly service at Home Depot!
                      I was buying the baseboard trim for my carpenter to finish my bedroom. I didn't realize it came in such long pieces. The associate quickly came to my rescue and helped me find and cut the pieces I needed. He gave me good advice on several issues. He was extremely friendly and I enjoyed his company as he worked on my supplies. I always find I'm pleased with the people at Home Depot in Bastrop.

                            In and out real quick
                            Walked through the front door of a Home Depot I hadn't been to before and an associate pushing a cart immediately asked if I needed help. I told her I was looking for the paint department and she just happened to be heading that way. She walked me to the paint department and handed me off to another associate who worked in that section. I told her what I needed, she took me to the product, and boom, I was back on the road.

                                  I shopped in the Bastrop Store at 7:30 a.m. and everyone was on point, energetic, friendly, courteous and most helpful. I even found some great bargains. This is the place to shop. Admittedly, I love shopping at all Home Depot Stores. A+ from me.

                                  Anita works in the paint dept and is an asset to this store. She is knowledgeable, helpful and patient when she is overwhelmed with customers. She suggested a paint color after two failed attempts at mixing the color from the picture we brought in. Her suggestion was awesome. We love the new color of the exterior of our home. Thank you, Anita. When you aren't there, it can be difficult to get the great customer service we get from you!

                                  Bad store experience
                                  The paint dept should always have an assoc. available. The assoc. that was supposed to be in that dept. said he was in training. Customers should be a priority over training. If it is necessary to have an assoc. in training, then a knowledgeable assoc should be there in his place. The customer that was there when we got there said twice he had asked for help and twice they had called for help. He had been waiting over 10 min. I went to the front help desk and told them he had been waiting 10 min and we did not want to wait that long. Still we waited 10 min and when an assoc did show up he had no knowledge in that dept and had to go find someone that did. This is not good service and should not happen again. We often find it difficult to get an assoc to help at this store. You have to literally go find one.

                                  Best Representatives EVER
                                  On 2 separate occasions, 2 different store representatives have gone above and beyond to assist me in making my over the top complicated (lots of various payment methods and delivery scheduling was involved) purchases seamless. On both occasions, I hit the store like a rabid Tasmanian Devil and within minutes, each of these employees stepped up to the plate, took control and got the job done. I left the store in 20 minutes a docile lamb.
