When you're ready to make the leap into a major DIY job, you might not have all the required tools in the workshop or shed. That's when you should stop by The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Bensalem.
Tool Rental
Our tool rental options enlarge your toolbelt and toolbox with the exact tools you require to complete your project. It's not necessary to invest in a specialty tool when you're only using it once in a while. When you're looking for a new tool, do a trial run first before you select which one to get. Whatever your situation, we have the tools you're looking for.
Rent Shop Vacuums, Floor Sanders, and Post Hole Diggers
Tackle major projects with robust power tool rentals. Use a rental tiller to get your garden bed ready for planting or ensure fresh sod lays just right with a sod cutter rental. Construct a new fence around your property more efficiently with a post hole digger rental, then use other concrete tools to securely set your fence posts.
Make Painting Easier with Paint Sprayers and Rental Scaffolding
Beautiful spring days are a great time to tackle outdoor painting projects. Renew surfaces with a fresh coat of paint. Whether you need scaffolding rentals for painting a house or shed, or rental ladders for painting fences, or a paint sprayer rental for professional coverage, we have what you need.
Truck and Cargo Van Rentals
For your transport needs, we keep trucks of all kinds on hand. Although availability varies by store, we've got a selection ranging from cargo vans to pickup trucks to flatbed trucks. We'll have the correct size for your DIY project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your trusted source for storage, packing, and DIY, it's smart to make us your source for truck rental as well.
Box Truck and Penske Moving Truck Rentals
If it's time to move to a new home, we can help with that, too. Explore our rental box trucks. We also offer Penske moving trucks in sizes ranging from 12-feet to 26-feet, but as always, availability varies by store. Use our trucks to haul all your belongings — from a dorm to a city apartment to a 4-bedroom house, and anything in between. Our Penske moving trucks have different rental requirements and sizes than our box trucks, so check our FAQ or speak to an associate to make sure you choose the right rental truck for you.
Large Equipment Rentals
Complete expansive projects with pro power equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need. From the boom and scissor lifts to give you a boost to the mini excavators for hauling materials, we've got an expansive variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore our selection to see what we've got in stock.
Although we're mentioning popular tool, truck, and large equipment rentals, our rental center may not have everything on hand for your required time frame. If you've got a particular truck in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.
How do I rent large equipment, tools, or trucks?
Stop by your local Rental Center to see what trucks or tools you can rent. If you want confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a truck, tool, or large equipment. You can also read our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is offered at your store. For more on renting large equipment or tools, read these Tool Rental FAQs, including terms and conditions for the equipment.
Can I rent a tool or large equipment for a week?
Tool rentals and large equipment rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small home improvement jobs may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent large equipment and tools by the week, day, or month, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call your Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.
When can I bring the tools back?
You're welcome to return the tools early if you finish your project ahead of schedule, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off mud and grime from the tool as well. If you need it longer, call your rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I rent a truck for a week?
Rent a box truck, cargo van, or pickup truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on how long your project is. Remember to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you must bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the contract and terms and conditions before selecting a truck.
Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Match the level of gas that was in the tank when you got the rental. If you don't, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Can I rent a truck or large equipment with only a driver's license?
No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck. Large equipment or select tools also require ID verification via CLEAR.
Do I need to go get my rented large equipment from the store?
Depending on your location, you can get large equipment dropped off and picked up from your job site for an affordable rate — whether that's out in the field or at your own home. You'll need to rent it for one day or longer and provide us with 24 hours notice so we can adequately prepare your rented large equipment. In places where delivery isn't available, speak to an associate for the ideal way to get your large equipment.
How do I avoid penalties and extra fees on my large equipment rentals?
Treat your rented large equipment as any other vehicle: Make sure you obey traffic laws and it's parked legally. Read the instructions so you're using it correctly to avoid damaging the equipment or injuring yourself. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are. If you cancel within 12 hours of your scheduled delivery, you'll pay a cancellation fee. Make sure to return equipment by the deadline or extend the rental period to accommodate the extra hours or days you require.
