If you'd like to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about renting a Load 'N Go moving van, pickup truck, or flatbed truck. Penske moving van rentals and moving trucks have different rules. You could also visit our truck rental page to see if the vehicle you need is carried at your local store.
Can I choose how long to rent a truck?
Rent a moving van or truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on the length of your project. Be sure to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you'll need to return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the provided documentation before selecting a truck.
Should I refill the rental truck before I bring it back?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Match the level of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. If you don't, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
