Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting plastic plant pots, CFLs, lead acid batteries, and rechargeable batteries for recycling.
Home Depot stores sent approximately 5.3 million pounds of shredded paper for recycling in 2022. This has helped the planet by preserving over 63,500 trees, keeping over 16,000 trash bags of solid waste out of landfills, saving over 50 million gallons of water, and conserving 7.8 million kilowatt hours of electricity.
LED lights in your local store saved on energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives like solar and wind.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our customers and associates, and this commitment extends beyond our stores to the environment, as well as our communities. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Learn more about our commitment to economic responsibility.

Do you offer specialty moving boxes?

Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it there safely. Look into our moving truck rentals, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.
Why should I get a generator?
We've got the variety you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making more noise when they create more power. When considering different generators for sale, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.
How can I prepare my home for spring temperature changes?
Make sure your home is ready for spring temperature swings by replacing or repairing broken parts of your hardscaping and home. If water freezes in any crevices, you could have problems. On the outside of your home, examine metal roof panels or roof shingles for rust or damage that could let water in. Gutters should be cleaned to prevent ice dams if you're prone to frozen precip as the seasons change. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks. Indoors, ensure ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be changed out if in poor condition.
Does The Home Depot sell doorbell cameras?
Enjoy peace of mind, safety, and privacy with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. No more peeking through the peephole or an adjacent window when you can watch animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you chat remotely via your phone, which is useful to scare off would-be porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Several cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you flexible and easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed and worry less with more control.
