Kristin in Garden and Lawn Care is the Best!
I have been to HD several times for plants for my garden. Kristin is the best. She has helped me several times. At the register she is friendly and helpful. A delight.

    Excellent Store Experience
The Design Center staff was so valuable in making my experience a success. Knowledgeable, patient and encouraging. The Store Manager is very attentive to the HD customer and their needs as well.

Couldn't find help. Associates seemed diInterested
I had a small simple project to complete and was open to input from two associates already discussing a man's plumbing issue at length. They really didn't offer anything and when I returned having found found a possible solution myself, they seemed disinterested. Usually its better, disappointed this time.

        Ideal store experience
An associate in the Paints Department called Jim helped me to find exactly the right cleaner for my Trek-Deck. Marilyn at the Cashier was patient and helpful.

Great Staff in the Garden Center!
An associate in the Garden Center went out of his way to give me help and guidance in choosing my purchase. He was informative and courteous, and he made sure my purchase would fit in in my car before I bought the item (I was worried I wouldn't have room). He loaded it for me, taking special care not to damage the interior of the car. It was a super experience and an encounter with a very nice, knowledgeable person!

This store is great. Everything was clean and stocked and the employees were ready to assist as soon as the doors opened in the morning. Well organized.

I get what I need, but what Happened to Customer Service?
What can I say- Home Depot as a company is a staple for certain "must have" DIY items, fixer-upper projects, etc... One thing that you could improve on is Customer Service. Attendees treat customers like builders- "You need a screw at what size? Yea, they're over in isle 12." Nothing drives me crazier than having to STARE at a "library" of tiny hardware trying to find the damned things because really, I only have to buy this kind of stuff once a year. NOT cool Home Depot. Show me where it is, and **point it out to me.** On numerous occasions I've had associates give me a lengthy explanation of where things are, complete with elaborate arm signals like an airport landing officer: "Ok. So you're going to walk over to isle ___. Then, you're going to go Left. Then you're going to go waaay down, to the back of the store. But hold on- you're not gonna go all the way back. You're gonna stop at the (blank). Make sure you stop there, you're almost there. Then, about 4 feet later to your RIGHT, you'll have what you're looking for. If you've passed the (blank) you've missed it." Me: "Ok, so let me go over that. It's blank, blank, and blank." Attendee: "You've got it, except for the middle part." (and here we go again.) Ok, sounding kinda crazy already right? A, it's making the customer memorize a LOT. By the time this employee is done explaining and "making sure" I understand- we could have BEEN there. I see this a lot and it's infuriating. The store is freaking huge and you're asking me to walk a maze that you're used to on an everyday basis.

        Parking vs Check out
Two things: great & a tad bothersome: The gal who worked the cash register in my line was amazing. She was friendly and efficient with each person ahead of me. The line kept moving nicely as she navigated her costumers with a smile and honest, open dialog. When it was my turn, she treated me as if I was the only person in line. Her name is Sandy, and I will definitely try to be in her line for future trips. The other comment is parking. I drive a contractor truck and 14' trailer. It is a real bear to try to park in your lot. I know you have a space issue, but you really should enforce an area designated to bigger rigs that has easy access in and out. It is a zoo to try and park in your lot.

I am recommending this store to all my friends and family! The other sales associates were friendly and helpful. The checkout process was quick and friendly. This is a great store!

            Love this store!
I came in to buy 9 gallons of paint with colors selected based on a brand of paint Home Depot doesn't sell. They were able to access the colors and make me perfect matches with their brand of paint (like I preferred) and do it in a timely and helpful manner. When I don't have time or know exactly what i need, I trust that the Home Depot associates will help me figure it out. Thank you!

            Exceptional Service
Matt, in Gardens, has always provided Exceptional Service. We are from Pine Street Church and we have been working on a landscaping project for several months, and every time we come in the store Matt has exceeded our expectations (he has helped us at least 10 times over the last 3 months). He has always gone out of his way to help us. We were very fortunate to be assisted by him and he's always made our visit a lot more pleasant. We found him to be very knowledgeable of the products and an excellent ambassador for the store. Jeff in Rentals, is too an outstanding representative for the store and has been very helpful on at least 4 different occasions.

            Much Better than McGuckin's
As a professional organic gardener and landscape designer, my time is precious. I typically know what products I need, and appreciate Associates who 1) know where items are located, and, 2) will help me load a cart, pay quickly and load my truck. The folks at Home Depot are very cheerful, knowledgeable and helpful. I used to get this type of service at our local McGuckin Hardware, but they have gone so far downhill over the past 2 years, hiring folks who just don't seem to care, that I will no longer spend my hard-earned money there. Home Depot is the best place for me to purchase soil amendments, plants, construction materials, etc. I highly recommend them !

            CV86C6 made my day!
I had not been able to order mirror bi-fold doors on line because there was no shipping to Colorado. Because I was shopping at the Boulder store for other things I decided to see if there was some way to get the (replacement) doors via the store. I found associate CV85C6 in the door/window department, and when I told him my situation, he immediately assured me that there was another vendor who sold similar doors and would ship the doors to the Boulder store for pick-up. He then showed me a picture of the doors that were available and described them in some detail. I cannot tell you how relieved and pleased I was; I have tried to find replacement doors that "matched" the other mirror bi-fold doors in my bedroom for over a year with no success. The salesman was professional, knowledgeable, pleasant to talk with, and he completed my order quickly. Thank you, CV68C6!

Dirty & Rude Check Out Person
Wood pallet pieces on the floor. Displays in the way. NO employees to be found to help on a Tuesday at 6:30pm. No lids for the plastic storage containers. 100 bottoms, no tops. Cashier asked if I found everything. I said No, there are no lids for the containers. He said it looks like you found it. I said No, this isn't the one I wanted. He said "bummer". I said I couldn't find help. He said "That's too bad". Awful experience. Found the boxes I needed at Lowes, where 3 employees asked if I needed help. I know HD is bad sometimes, but I've never experience it like this before.

              Rude Associates
Bought a pair of heavy duty scissors. They unfortunately did not work for the project I purchased them for. Returned them the next day. Took ~5 mins for someone to show up at the return desk to help me. Sales associate handling return never made eye contact and was very disrespectful. Asked if I had the plastic zip ties that held the scissors to the cardboard backing. I didn't; since they had been cut off, figured they wouldn't be reusable and didn't bother bringing back with me. Said that I didn't think the lack of those would be a big deal. She responded with "it's a bigger deal than you think." Another associate then chimed in and told her that the store had plastic zip ties she could use and reattach the scissors to the packaging. My sales associated continued to not make eye contact and there was zero attempt to be remotely friendly with me during this visit. Do not recommend. Rude, unhelpful staff. Take your business to places where the associates are happy to actually provide good customer service.

Employees to stressed out and always too busy to explain or help with frustrations
the store is fairly clean and always busy. The problem is no one knows how to help with issues on commercial credit cards. For a year now I have been having issues. Also the fuel points took over the 5% off and you can't get ANYONE to help on this issue. months I have tried. Different associates. computer. customer service desk. Contractor desk. No help. We are about to give up on this store!

My cashier, Kristin, helped me make a tax exempt purchase and it was simpler than ever before! She recognized the tax exempt number as belonging to Boulder County and we discussed where I worked. She thanked me for my public service and I felt very appreciated! I passed this same message on to my entire team!
