The Home Depot Rental Center at Brenham, TX

Take on any home improvement project with the right tools — even if you don't own them. Rent the tools, use them, and return them when you're done. You can complete your project without cluttering up valuable workshop storage with tools you rarely reach for.

Tool Rental
The Home Depot Brenham, TX Tool Rental Center helps you handle more complicated DIY projects. Break free of the limits of old tools and rent up-to-date tools made to suit your projects. Rent quality tools to complete your project safely and confidently. If your local store doesn't have the needed tool in stock, it could be available at another one within driving distance.

Add Insulation When the Weather is Cooler
For a more energy-efficient home, add another layer to your insulation in the spring, if possible — before it gets dangerously hot in the attic. Rent specialized equipment for insulation to get it installed correctly. Decide between a cellulose insulation blower or a fiberglass blower, and insulate those nooks and crannies well. Installing insulation keeps your home cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter, all while tempering your heating and cooling bills.

Tame the Lawn and Greenery Early
Lighten the load with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the yard with a rental lawn mower and leaf blower rental, the trees and hedges with a chainsaw rental, and the driveway and sidewalks with a rental pressure washer. Your outdoor oasis will be ready for new spring flowers before you know it.

Truck Rental
Choose one of our trucks when you need a truck or cargo van. It's great for hauling a tool rental or brand-new DIY supplies. With excellent availability and a price to match, our vehicles are ready to roll when you need them. We've also got box trucks and Penske moving trucks to help ease the stress of a big move. Availability varies by store, so check out the FAQ or speak to an associate to make sure you choose the right rental truck for you.

Large Equipment Rentals
Complete expansive projects with the right professional power equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need. From the boom lifts and scissor lifts to give you a boost to the mini skid steers and mini excavators capable of hauling materials on outdoor job sites, we've got a surprising variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore our selection to see what we've got in stock.

Although we're mentioning specific tool, truck, and large equipment rentals, our rental center may not have everything on hand for your required time frame. If you've got a particular truck in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent a truck, tool, or piece of large equipment?

Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what's available. If you want confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a truck, tool, or large equipment. You may also visit our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is in stock at your local store. For more details on renting large equipment or tools, read these Tool Rental FAQs, which includes equipment terms and conditions.

Can I rent large equipment or a tool by the hour?

Large equipment rentals and tool rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small home improvement projects may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent large equipment and tools by the week, day, or month, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I return the tools?

It's fine to return the tools early if you complete your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off residual dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need the tools longer, call your local rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.

Can I rent a truck for a week?

Rent a cargo van, box truck, or pickup truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on the length of your project. Be sure to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the provided documentation before you select a vehicle.

Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?

Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Note the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. If you don't, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck or large equipment?

No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements. Select tools as well as large equipment also require ID verification via CLEAR.

How do I get my large equipment rental?

Depending on your location, you may be able to get large equipment dropped off and picked up from your job site for an affordable rate — whether that's at your home or out in the field. You'll need to rent it for one day or longer and provide us with 24 hours notice so we can prepare your rental delivery for you. In places where delivery isn't available, speak to an associate for the ideal way to get your large equipment.

What are some ways to avoid extra fees and penalties on my large equipment rentals?

Think of your large equipment rentals as any other vehicle: Make sure you obey traffic laws and it's parked legally. Read the manual so you're using it correctly to avoid injuring yourself or damaging the equipment. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are. If you cancel within 12 hours of your scheduled delivery, you'll pay a cancellation fee. Extend your rental period if you need extra time so you won't get charged a late fee.
