The Home Depot Rental Center at Cedar City

Take on any new home improvement project with the right tools for the job — even if you don't have them on hand. Rent power tools, use them, and return them when you're done. You can finish your project without taking up valuable shed or garage storage with tools you rarely reach for.

Tool Rental
The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Cedar City helps you handle more complicated DIY projects. You won't be limited by only what you have on hand or have to settle for untrustworthy hand-me-down tools. Complete your project safely and confidently by renting quality tools. If your local store doesn't have the tool you need in stock, you may be able to find it at another one within driving distance.

Add Insulation When the Weather is Cooler
For a more energy-efficient home, upgrade your insulation in the spring, if possible — before it gets dangerously hot in your attic. Rent specialized equipment for insulation to get it installed correctly. Choose from a fiberglass blower or a cellulose insulation blower, and get those nooks and crannies insulated with ease. It'll keep the house cooler this spring and summer, then continue working year-round. You'll enjoy warmer temps in the winter, too, which can tamp down heater usage.

Tame the Lawn and Bushes Early
Lighten the load with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the yard with a rental lawn mower and leaf blower rental, the trees and hedges with a chainsaw rental, and the sidewalks with a rental pressure washer. Your outdoor oasis will be refreshed and ready for new spring flowers before you know it.

Truck and Cargo Van Rentals
To move large equipment rentals, we keep trucks of all kinds ready for rental. Although availability varies by store, we've got a selection ranging from cargo vans to flatbed trucks to pickup trucks. Choose the right size for your DIY project so you can keep your job on track. As your trusted source for packing, DIY projects, and storage needs, it's smart to make us your go-to source for truck rental as well.

Box Truck and Penske Moving Truck Rentals
If it's time to relocate to a new home, we can help with that as well. Explore our rental box trucks. We also offer Penske moving trucks in sizes ranging from 12-feet to 26-feet, but as always, availability varies from one store to the next. Use our trucks to haul all your belongings — from everything in a college dorm to the contents of a 4-bedroom house. Our Penske moving trucks have different sizes and rental requirements than our box trucks, so check out our FAQ or speak to an associate to make sure you find the right rental truck for you.

Large Equipment Rentals
Handle expansive projects with pro equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need to finish the job. From the boom lifts and scissor lifts to give you a boost to the mini excavators and mini skid steers for hauling materials, we've got a surprising variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore our selection to see what we've got in stock.

Although we're calling out specific tool, large equipment, and truck rentals, not everything is available at every rental center. If you've got a particular tool in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent tools, trucks, or large equipment?

Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what's available. If you'd like confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a truck, tool, or large equipment. You can also check out our truck rental or tool and equipment rental pages to see if what you need is in stock at your local store. For more on renting large equipment or tools, read these Tool Rental FAQs, including terms and conditions for the equipment.

How long can I rent tools or large equipment?

Large equipment rentals and tool rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY jobs may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent large equipment and tools by the week, day, or month, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call your Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I return the tools?

You're welcome to return the tools early if you finish your project ahead of schedule, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off residual dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need them longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.

Can I rent a truck for a week?

Rent a box truck, cargo van, or pickup truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on the length of your project. Be sure to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the contract and terms and conditions before selecting a truck.

Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?

Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Match the level of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. When you don't refill the vehicle, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Can I rent large equipment or a truck with only a driver's license?

No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements. Large equipment or select tools also require ID verification via CLEAR.

How do I receive my large equipment rental?

Depending on your location, you can get large equipment delivered straight to your job site for an affordable rate — at your home or out in the field. You'll need to rent it for one day or longer and provide us with 24 hours notice so we can adequately prepare your rented large equipment. Speak to an associate for the ideal way to get your large equipment.

How do I avoid penalties and extra fees on my large equipment rentals?

Treat your rented large equipment as any other vehicle: Make sure it's parked legally and you obey traffic laws. Read the instructions so you're using it correctly to avoid injuring yourself or damaging the equipment. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are. If you cancel within 12 hours of your scheduled delivery, you'll pay a cancellation fee. Make sure to return equipment by the deadline or extend the rental period to accommodate the extra time you require.
