This store is well laid out with little changes from visit to visit so I can know where to find things. In many cases, multiple products are offered and he store's assistants are capable of describing the differences.

Ms Ruth was the worst person she ruined my whole day. She gave the worst customer service even though she was the manager the other people helped me more I would never shop over there I have been shopping at Home Depot for 15 years and never gotten this kind of service anywhere I bought the same product at laurel and had to pick up 6 more since I needed 25 so I went to Columbia and what do I see a large amount difference so I asked ms Ruth to do the adjustment she said I won’t do it so I had to buy 25 and me and my 12 year old son didn’t have lunch it was 86 degrees outside and the things are not light I had to carry each and every one of them to the laurel store this is the first and last time I will buy from Columbia

The store was clean and products can easy to find it.

I was able to find everything that I came for. I really like that you give the isle number of the product that I am looking for. That was I don't have to ask an employee and get the wrong information. The check out person was very nice. I wish that I got her all the time.

Today at the Columbia store, we bought several paint samples and the employees at the paint desk could not have been more helpful or friendly. They went above and beyond - showing my daughters how the color is added to the paint to make the individual paint colors. It really made them feel special and involved in our painting project.

I have been repainting different areas in my home and have had to use the paint matching system and it has matched five year old paint perfectly.

This store is a good store period...I have been there numerous times but never took the time 2 write a review. Yes it is always clean and stocked with items I need. recently I was there looking 4 a refrigerator and 1 associate name Shawn came 2 help. Even thou he worked in another department he got me help in finding the right person 4 that department. After finding me some help he stayed there and actually removed the FRIGE from the area and loaded it on the dolly cart. During this time Shawn and I discovered during our conversations that we actually had things in common such as skiing and fishing. Thanks Shawn 4 good conversation and hope 2 C U again in this store. Needed to return two items which were on two different sales tickets. I thought this would require two separate exchanges. The customer service rep- Rebecca did it all in one step, quickly and with a rare items these days- a positive attitude. The staff made what I thought was going to be a 15 minute ordeal into a 2-3 minute quick exchange. Thanks for training your staff so well.

clean & organized

This store has improved so much from when I moved to Columbia, MD, a number of years ago. The service and attitude of the employees was so bad I went to the competition for my purchases. I took a chance to see if the store was better and IT WAS! I am so glad the store changed because it's closer than the competition. :-)

This store is always the cleanest and most stocked. Even with the things happening now with the virus the staff was extremely friendly. Very short wait to get in (less than 5 minutes) due to the limit on people in the store these days. Willow, the self checkout cashier was very friendly and helped ring me up even though it was self check out. I will always prefer this store over any other location.

I recently had a very bad experience at a competing store in the area. Having such a good experience at Home Depot, on the heals of a bad one, I felt compelled to sing their praises. Thank you Home Depot.

I needed a specialty item. I mentioned it to a worker who guided me to the proper aisle and where these items were. Then he found it for me. Best customer service in retail I've ever received (anywhere) in Howard County!

But for couple of sales persons, majority are naive about the products and are totally absent minded. Recently, I had to pay for the mistake of one sales person. Check your bill for correct charges and full details.

The staff at this store are very helpful and knowledgeable. That being said, the store in Columbia, MD is one of the most cluttered and out-of-date stores Home Depot runs. If the store is remodeled to be cleaner, less cluttered, have a bigger product selection, have up-to-date/non-broken displays and fixtures, this would infinitely improve the shopping experience.

The employees at Home Depot in Columbia are second to none for customer service! Just over two years ago, we moved to the area from having lived overseas for 10+ years; we needed many new items. We visited Home Depot and a competitor to determine which store would have our loyalty. Home Depot won hands down. Over the past two years they have consistently provided kind, knowledgable and professional support. The store offers an excellent assortment of products and services. Like all good relationships, it wasn't always an easy road. We needed a new HVAC for our home and chose Home Depot as we believed in the company, and felt they would stand behind their reputation for product and service. We actually experienced a very difficult time with their subcontractor on a $13,000 HVAC installation. As we expected, the Home Depot store management completely supported us, even to the point of having a manager at our home on a number of occasions to oversee the work of the HVAC company. Though I wouldn't recommend buying an HVAC until they replace the sub-contrator Accel Heating and Cooling,I do recommend Home Depot for all other products, services, and professional advice.
