The Home Depot Rental Center at Eagle Creek

When it's time to make the leap into a big home improvement project, you might not have the specialty tools you need in a shed. That's when you should stop by The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Eagle Creek.

Tool Rental
Our tool rental options enlarge your toolbelt with the precise tools you require to complete a DIY job. It's impractical to get a specialized tool when you're rarely reaching for it. When you're thinking about buying a new tool, do a trial run first before you decide which one to purchase. Whatever your situation, we have the tools you're looking for.

Rent Floor Sanders, Shop Vacuums, Post Hole Diggers, and More
Tackle major projects with robust power tools. Take your scuffed wooden floor to the next level with a floor sander rental and a wet/dry vacuum rental to get the floors smooth and ready for refinishing. Construct a new fence around your home more efficiently with a post hole digger rental, then utilize other concrete tools to securely set your fence posts.

Make Painting Easier with Ladder and Paint Sprayer Rentals
Make the most of longer spring days and paint outdoors. Rent paint sprayers to get professional coverage and work much faster than you would with a brush or roller and a paint tray. Rent scaffolding and ladders to reach elevated areas when painting fences, houses, and sheds. We carry extension ladders and step ladders for small to medium jobs, so you won't have to wait when you're ready to get that job done.

Truck Rental
To make it easier to transport large tool rentals, we keep flatbed trucks and box trucks ready to roll — with availability varying by store. We also offer Penske moving trucks in sizes ranging from 12-feet to 26-feet at certain stores. We'll have the correct size truck rental for your DIY project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your source for DIY jobs of all sizes, it's smart to make us your go-to source for moving and transport as well.

Large Equipment Rentals
Handle expansive projects with professional equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need. From the scissor lifts to give you a boost to the mini skid steers capable of hauling materials on outdoor job sites, we've got an expansive variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore and see what we've got in stock.

Although we're mentioning popular large equipment, tool, and truck rentals, not everything is available at every rental center. If you've got a particular item in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent tools, trucks, or large equipment?

Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what's available. If you'd like to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a truck, tool, or large equipment. You might also read our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is carried at your store. For more info on renting tools or large equipment, read the Tool Rental FAQs, including terms and conditions for the equipment.

How long can I rent tools or large equipment?

You can rent a tool or large equipment for four hours or more. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY projects may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and long-term jobs can also be accommodated. You've got options to rent large equipment and tools by the week, day, or month, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call your Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.

When can I bring the tools back?

You're welcome to return the tools early if you complete your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any grime and dust from the tool as well. If you need the tools longer, call your local rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.

Can I rent a truck for a week?

Rent a box truck, cargo van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on how long your project is. Be sure to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the documentation before choosing your vehicle.

Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?

Yes, please fuel up the truck before you return it. Make a note of the fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. If you don't, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Can I rent large equipment or a truck with only a driver's license?

No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements. Large equipment or select tools also require ID verification via CLEAR.

Do I need to go get my large equipment rental?

Depending on your location, you can get large equipment dropped off at your job site for a reasonable cost — whether that's out in the field or at your own home. You'll need to rent it for one day or longer and provide us with 24 hours notice so we can adequately prepare your rented large equipment. In places where delivery isn't available, speak to an associate for the ideal way to get your large equipment.

What are some ways to avoid penalties and extra fees on rented large equipment?

Think of your large equipment rentals as any other vehicle: Make sure you obey traffic laws and it's parked legally. Read the operator's manual so you're using it correctly to avoid injuring yourself or damaging the equipment. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are, as cancelling within 12 hours of delivery means you'll incur a cancellation fee. Make sure to return equipment by the deadline or extend the rental period to accommodate the extra time you require.
