When you're ready to dive into a home improvement job, you might not have all the required tools in a shed or workshop. Don't let that stop you when you can stop by The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in East Northport.
Tool Rental
Our tool rental choices expand your toolbox and toolbelt with the precise tools you need to complete the job. It's impractical to buy a specialized tool when you're rarely reaching for it. When you're considering a new tool, try it out first before you decide which one to get. Whatever your situation, we have just what you're looking for.
Rent Floor Sanders, Shop Vacs, Post Hole Diggers, and More
Tackle serious jobs with serious power tool rentals. Get your garden bed ready for spring with a tiller rental or ensure fresh sod lays just right with a sod cutter. Construct a new fence around your home faster with a post hole digger rental, then utilize other concrete tools to securely set your fence posts.
Make Painting Easier with Paint Sprayers and Rental Scaffolding
Take advantage of longer spring days and paint outdoors. Rent paint sprayers to get optimal coverage fast and renew surfaces. Rent ladders and scaffolding to reach high areas when painting fences, houses, and sheds. We carry extension ladders and step ladders for medium or smaller jobs, so you won't have to wait when you're ready to get that job done.
Truck Rental
To make it easier to transport large tool rentals, we keep pickup trucks as well as Penske moving trucks on hand — with availability varying by store. You're sure to find the correct size truck rental for your DIY project so you can keep your job on track. As your source for packing, DIY, and storage, it's smart to make us your source for moving and transport as well.
To get tools and transportation for your DIY or moving project, check out The Home Depot East Northport Tool and Truck Rental Center. Having the right tools for the job is important, so let us help. We're here to help you get your DIY project done.
How do I rent trucks or tools?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what tools or trucks you can rent. If you want confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a tool or truck. You can also visit our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is at your favorite store. For more info on renting tools, read the Tool Rental FAQs, including terms and conditions for the equipment.
Can I rent a tool for an hour?
You can rent a tool for four hours or more. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small home improvement projects may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and major projects are no problem. You've got options to rent tools by the month, day, or week, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I return the tools?
You're welcome to return the tools early if you finish your project ahead of schedule, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any built-up dirt from the tool as well. If you need them longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.
How long can I rent a truck?
Rent a box truck, cargo van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on the length of your project. Be sure to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you'll need to return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the contract before selecting a truck.
Should I refill the rental truck with gas before I bring it back?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you return it. Note the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. If you don't, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
