Kitchen Design
I spent may hours working with the very patient & knowledgable, Hubie. I found his suggestions to be very helpful while designing my kitchen. He also helped me to keep the cost low, which was a huge factor. He listened very carefully to what I wanted in my kitchen, and helped me come up with the best solution within my budget. I never felt pressured through the whole process. Great experience!

Hard to Locate Help or Products
I came into Home Depot knowing exactly what I wanted and thought the information provided to me by the website would enable me to find it. Not so. The product I was looking for was not where indicated and once I chased down an associate (I literally had to do so), he didn't know where to find the product either. I finally found what I was looking for by wandering around the store, not easy to do since I am disabled, and told the associate where to find it.
Because of the bad layout and poor associate availability (and knowledge), I only come to Home Depot when I can't find something anywhere else. This store needs an up-to-date map for both associates and customers.

Sam Albert Farag has been amazing!
Sam gave us amazing customer service today. He actually came in on his day off. He walked us through the process on this kitchen remolding project we are undertaking. I like he gave me his cell number so I don't have to waste my time on hold. He has been a professional and helpful and we enjoy working with him.

Neat store, had what I was looking for.
The store was very busy. I used the self checkout, the line went quickly and the machines easy to use. The products I needed were easy to find and just about where I thought they would be. Great store.

Great Customer Service!
Normally I would go to Home Depot and can't find anyone to help me. The gentleman that assisted me in the paint section was very helpful and efficient.

Great Help, But Add Product Variations on-line, if not in store
The Cashier, Tina, saved my visit TDS230, and the manager (sorry I didn't get his name) was a big help too. I was going to order something on line, but Tina's search revealed it in stock. She took me to find it, wrangled someone who could climb a ladder, etc., which allowed me to find my item in stock, and saved me from having to order it online.
I am somewhat disappointed that I couldn't find a concrete form tube (Sonett tube) larger than 12" in diameter. I can understand that a rarely purchased item might only be available on line. However, larger sizes weren't available, even on line.

Bath Remodel
Worked with kitchen and bath consultant Sam Farag. Sam helped design our kitchen a couple of years ago, and when it was time to redo the bathrooms it was time to Sam one more time. Sam worked with us and offered many great ides.

THE WOMEN AT #0643 KEEP THAT STORE OPEN
I AM A H.D. Devotee...love it, recommend it, appreciate it, use it all the time; bring clients to it all the time as a first choice. HD0643 has caused massive frustration and significant time LOST (I spent 2 hours and three trips trying to get 12 bags of rocks put in my car today; sadly not an unusual experience.). The male staff in this store routinely ignore the appeals of checkers for carry out service. They often disappear when found and asked to help. They tell me they aren't qualified to do some thing, and walk away without finding someone or even suggesting who might be qualified. They are often standing outside taking text messages. I have had young women leave the desk and load heavy bags of dirt into my car!!! T(because they see me standing there asking for help for up to 45 minutes and they are calling for help and no one is coming.) his store is either mismanaged or understaffed. The only other store that I have had such problems finding help to this degree is in Encinitas, CA. I am constantly offering verbal support to the women in this store, who are responsible, responsive, cheerful, uncomplaining and constantly having to be apologetic to your clients because there is so little back up. I pray, every time I go back for more dirt or gravel, that Michael is working because he gets stuff done. He is smart and responsive and understands that his customers are there to get stuff done. Your check out staff in gardening are AMAZING! I don't know how these women can continue to be so efficient and cheerful given how frequently they are ignored by the support staff. I stand in line with customers who are furious, and the checkers are cheerfully trying to calm the waters and get them help. I have personally left the line and gone to the help desk to try to get them help, knowing that if someone responds, I will actually get out of there faster than if I just continue to wait in line.

Availability of sales associates
I was looking for the plumbing Dept. I asked a male associate where is the plumbing Dept. He said over there somewhere and kept walking!! That's not exceptable!! If he didn't know where it was, he should have helped me find it or sent someone to help me find it!!

Not The Best
The store was clean. Good thing I know my products because there are no associates that seem like they are willing to help. Emeryville is the best homedepot in the east bay. also in the lumber dept, they do not restock with new lumber or material. they just restock the warped and bent wood customers do not want to buy. Plus this has got to be the most unorganized lumber dept. I only shop here if needed. Associates are ok. Blanca is the best cashier.

Your people knew the answer, as usual.
I came in to get a set of replacement stove drip pans, not a very big purchase. Two people in the appliance department took the time to help me find the right set, and to assure me I could return them if they didn't work.

Great Sales Associate in Appliances
This is not our closest Home Depot, but it has the best displays of appliances and is larger than our local Home Depots, so we consider this one to be our local one. Moreover, Sales Associate, Denise Pearce, was very knowledgable and patient with us. We had questions, concerns, and while we'd done our research about refrigerators, had to make a change. She handled it promptly, and we ended up with the perfect one for our new kitchen. We returned for the purchase of a range and washer and dryer; and waited a short time because we wanted to work with her again. She's warm, funny, and very efficient. Home Depot is lucky to have her as an employee because it's rare to have someone who has the knowledge, skill, and warmth to really impress customers - she's all that! Thank you Home Depot, and thank you, Denise!

Try the softness of the "Tremendous II" carpet with the premium pad and then TRY to leave the store without purchasing it for a room!
I went to the HD for some plants and thought I would swing by the carpet area just to see what they had so I wouldn't feel too bad when I bought the carpet tiles I was looking at on an online site from another vendor. The carpet department rep was so helpful, not pushy, knew everything you can possibly know about carpet, and understood what I was looking for the first time I explained it [rare quality these days anywhere], and after 30 minutes I had chosen the perfect carpeting for my project and was leaving the store with the sample board so I could choose the exact color I was looking for. My total came to $690 less than the other vendor I was sure I was going to go with, and HD included free measuring, installation, and furniture moving! The other vendor included 4 boxes of tiles delivered to my driveway
>.<. HD had 4 shades that matched my color scheme perfectly which made it hard--but not impossible--to choose. The other vendor had two great colors but no free samples or stores in our area. In the end, it was the customer service person's expertise and ability to connect with what I was trying to do for my home that made me go with HD carpet, and I cannot wait to finish the project.

Customer service is hopeless
I went in to buy a hot water tank and left without one. Customer service directed me to find an associate, the associate directed me back to customer service. When I got back there, the woman working the desk had no clue about selling hot water tanks or what their policies were on delivery/install. She gave me a sketchy number on a piece of scrap paper and told me to call that number in the morning. She couldn't help us and seemed stoned and clueless. Not Good. Also, I had to wait around for the customer service lady to get done looking at instagram pictures of dogs with another employee before she could find the time in her day to realize there were customers waiting. Argh.
