Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting plastic plant pots, CFLs, lead acid batteries, and rechargeable batteries for recycling.
This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot has sold to Trex in the past. This is used in composite decking, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.
We have decreased electricity consumption by over 52% in our U.S. stores since 2010.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our associates and customers, and this commitment extends beyond our stores to the environment, as well as our local communities. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Learn more about our eco actions.

Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for whatever circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether you're dealing with snowstorms, severe thunderstorms, tornados, hurricanes, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy power after the elements take it out. When exploring different generators for sale, remember that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. For safety purposes, always run your generators outside, away from doors and windows.
Should I make siding repairs now?
Ready your home for spring temperature swings by repairing or replacing broken parts of your hardscaping and home. If water freezes in the crevices, you could headed for major repairs down the line. Check cinder block and bricks for cracks, and verify indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. On the outside of your home, examine shingles or metal roof panels for damage or rust that could let water leak in. Gutters should be clear and functional to prevent ice dams if you're prone to frozen precip as the seasons change. Lastly, swap chimney caps and vinyl siding if they're damaged.
Why should I get a doorbell camera?
Enjoy privacy, peace of mind, and safety with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. No more peeking through a window or peephole when you can see visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you chat remotely via your phone, which is useful to scare off would-be porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Most cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed and worry less with more control.
