When you're beginning to dive into a major DIY job, you might not have the specialty tools you need in a garage. Don't let that stop you when you can stop by The Home Depot Englewood Tool Rental Center.
Tool Rental
Our tool rental choices enlarge your toolbox and toolbelt with the exact tools you require to complete a DIY job. It's not practical to keep a specialized tool when you're not using it often. When you're in the market for a new tool, give it a spin first before you choose which to purchase. Whatever your situation, we have the tools you're looking for.
Rent Post Hole Diggers, Floor Sanders, and Shop Vacuums
Tackle serious projects with reliable power tool rentals. Use a rental tiller to get your garden bed ready for planting or ensure fresh sod lays just right with a sod cutter rental. Construct a new fence around your pool or property faster and more efficiently with a post hole digger rental, then use other concrete tools to securely set your fence posts.
Make Painting Easier with Rental Scaffolding and Ladders
Take advantage of warmer weather to paint outdoors. Rent paint sprayers to get professional coverage and work much faster than you would with a brush or roller and a paint tray. Scaffolding rentals help you reach elevated surfaces when painting fences, houses, and sheds. We carry extension ladders and step ladders for small to medium jobs, so you won't have to wait when you're feeling motivated to check that job off the to-do list.
Truck and Cargo Van Rentals
To make it easier to transport large tool rentals, we keep trucks of all kinds ready to roll. Although availability varies by store, we've got a selection ranging from pickup trucks to cargo vans to flatbed trucks. Choose the correct size for your DIY project so you can keep your job on track. As your source for DIY projects, packing, and storage needs, it's easy to make us your go-to source for truck rental as well.
Box Truck and Penske Moving Truck Rentals
If it's time to relocate to a new home, we can help with that, too. Explore our rental box trucks. We also offer Penske moving trucks ranging from 12-foot to 26-foot lengths, but as always, availability varies from one store to the next. Use our trucks to haul all your belongings — from a dorm to a city apartment to a 4-bedroom house, and anything in between. Our box trucks have different rental requirements and sizes than Penske moving trucks, so check the FAQ or speak to an Orange Apron to make sure you choose the right rental truck for you.
Large Equipment Rentals
Handle expansive projects with pro power equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need. From the scissor lifts to give you a boost to the mini excavators and skid steers for hauling materials, we've got a surprising variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore our selection to see what we've got in stock.
Although we're mentioning specific truck, tool, and large equipment rentals, not everything is available at every rental center. If you've got a particular piece of equipment in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.
How do I rent large equipment, trucks, or tools?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what's available. If you'd like confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a truck, tool, or large equipment. You may also check out our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is carried at your favorite store. For more details on renting large equipment or tools, read these Tool Rental FAQs, which includes terms and conditions for the equipment.
Can I rent large equipment or tools by the hour?
Large equipment rentals and tool rentals start at four hour time slots. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small DIY jobs may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent large equipment and tools by the day, month, or week, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When can I bring the tools back?
It's fine to return the tools early if you finish your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any grime and dust from the tool as well. If you need it longer, call your rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I choose how long to rent a truck?
Rent a box truck, cargo van, or pickup truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on the length of your project. Remember to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you must return it to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the provided documentation before you choose a vehicle.
Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?
Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Make a note of the fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. If you don't, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Can I rent large equipment or a truck with only a driver's license?
No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck. Select tools as well as large equipment also require ID verification via CLEAR.
Do I need to go get my rented large equipment from the store?
Depending on your location, you can get large equipment delivered and picked up from your job site for an affordable rate — at your home or out in the field. We'll need at least 24 hours notice so we can prepare your rental delivery for you and you'll need to rent it for a full day. Speak to an associate for the best way to get your large equipment.
How do I avoid penalties and extra fees on my large equipment rentals?
Think of your large equipment rentals as any other vehicle: Make sure it's parked legally and you obey traffic laws. Read the instructions so you're using it correctly to avoid injuring yourself or damaging the equipment. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are, as cancelling within 12 hours of delivery means you'll incur a cancellation fee. Extend your rental period if you need extra time so you won't get dinged with a late fee.
