Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting CFLs, lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, and plastic plant pots for recycling.
Our stores sent approximately 5.3M pounds of shredded paper for recycling in 2022. This has helped the planet by preserving over 63.5K trees. It kept over 16K trash bags of solid waste out of landfills, saved over 50M gallons of water, and conserved 7.8M kilowatt hours of electricity.
LED lights in your local store cut energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives like solar and wind.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our customers and associates, and this commitment extends beyond our stores to the environment, as well as our local communities. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Read more about our commitment to economic responsibility.
Welcome to the Flushing Home Depot. It's a great day to get started on a new home improvement project.
Whether you're looking for window air conditioning units or tool chests, your local hardware store has you covered. Our well-trained associates can help you find exactly what you need for your project. Find the right product using our Home Depot product locator app. It displays a store map so you can ensure the item is in stock and know exactly where to find it. You can even use the barcode lookup to find detailed information on every item we carry.
Community involvement is important to us at The Home Depot. In an effort to fill the trades gap, The Home Depot Foundation has pledged to invest $50 million in training through our Path to Pro program. We are committed to educating more people in the skilled trades and helping them find careers in home improvement.
We're here to help. No project is too big or too small. We look forward to seeing you in our aisles. View our local ad before you visit to learn more about great in-store deals.
Sincerely,
The Flushing Store Team

Should I get a portable generator or an inverter generator?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for whatever circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether you're dealing with hurricanes, tornados, blizzards, thunderstorms, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity after the elements take it out. When browsing generators for sale, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. Always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.
How can I prepare my home for spring temperature changes?
Ready your home for spring temperatures swings and storms by replacing any faulty parts of your hardscaping and home. If water freezes in the crevices, you could be in for major repairs down the line. On the outside of your home, examine shingles or metal roofs for damage or rust that could let water leak in. Gutters should be clear and functional to prevent ice dams if you're still prone to ice storms and snow. Check cinder block and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be swapped out if they're damaged.
Why should I get a doorbell camera?
Enjoy safety, peace of mind, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a window or peephole when you can watch visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you chat remotely via your phone, which is useful for delivery people or to scare off wannabe porch pirates. Many cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible and easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed and worry less with more control.
