When you're starting to leap into a major DIY job, you might not have all the required tools in the shed or workshop. That's when you should stop by The Home Depot Glendora Tool Rental Center.
Tool Rental
Our tool rental choices expand your toolbox and toolbelt with the precise tools you require to complete your project. It's not practical to invest in a specialty tool when you're rarely reaching for it. When you're thinking about buying a new tool, give it a spin before you decide which to purchase. Whatever your situation, we have just what you're looking for.
Rent Post Hole Diggers, Shop Vacs, and Floor Sanders
Tackle serious jobs with serious power tool rentals. Take your scuffed hardwood to the next level with a floor sander rental and a shop vac to get the floors smooth and ready for refinishing. Construct a new fence around your property faster with a post hole digger rental, then utilize other concrete tools that suit the job at hand.
Make Painting Easier with Ladder and Paint Sprayer Rentals
Beautiful sunny days are a great time to tackle outdoor painting projects. Renew surfaces with a fresh coat of paint. Whether you need a paint sprayer rental for professional coverage, scaffolding rentals for painting sheds or houses, or rental ladders for painting fences, we have what you need.
Truck and Cargo Van Rentals
For transporting large tool rentals or anything else, we keep trucks of all kinds ready to roll. Although availability varies by store, we've got a selection ranging from cargo vans to flatbed trucks to pickups. You're sure to find the right size for your project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your source for DIY and storage projects, it's easy to make us your go-to source for truck rental as well.
Box Truck and Penske Moving Truck Rentals
If it's time to move to a new home, let us help with that, too. Explore our rental box trucks. We also offer Penske moving trucks ranging from 12-foot to 26-foot lengths, but as always, availability varies by store. Box trucks have different rental requirements and sizes than Penske moving trucks, so check our FAQ or speak to an associate to make sure you choose the right rental truck for you.
Large Equipment Rentals
Complete expansive projects with pro power equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need. From the boom and scissor lifts to give you a boost to the mini excavators and skid steers capable of hauling materials on outdoor job sites, we've got an expansive variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore and see what we've got in stock.
Although we're mentioning specific tool, truck, and large equipment rentals, not everything is available at every rental center. If you've got a particular truck in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.
How do I rent a piece of large equipment, a tool, or a truck?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what trucks and tools are up for rent. If you want confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a tool, truck, or large equipment. You might also read our truck rental or tool and equipment rental pages to see if what you need is carried at your store. For more on renting large equipment or tools, read these Tool Rental FAQs, including terms and conditions for the equipment.
Can I rent large equipment or a tool for an hour?
Large equipment rentals and tool rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY jobs may only require a short rental period, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent large equipment and tools by the week, day, or month, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call your Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.
When can I bring the tools back?
It's fine to return the tools early if you finish your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any grime and dust from the tool as well. If you need them longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I rent a truck for a week?
Rent a box truck, cargo van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Be sure to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the documentation before you select a truck.
Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Note the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and fill it with enough gas to match that same level. If you don't, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck or large equipment?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck. Large equipment or select tools also require ID verification via CLEAR.
Do I need to pick up my large equipment rental?
Depending on your location, you may be able to get large equipment delivered and picked up from your job site for an affordable rate — at your home or out in the field. We'll need at least 24 hours notice so we can prepare your rental delivery for you and you'll need to rent it for a full day. In places where delivery isn't available, speak to an associate for the ideal way to get your large equipment.
What are some ways to avoid penalties and extra fees on rented large equipment?
Treat your rented large equipment as any other vehicle: Make sure it's parked legally and you obey traffic laws. Read the operator's manual so you're using it correctly to avoid injuring yourself or damaging the equipment. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are. If you cancel within 12 hours of your scheduled delivery, you'll pay a cancellation fee. Extend your rental period if you need extra time so you won't get charged a late fee.
