The Home Depot Rental Center at Greenwood Village

When you're starting to make the leap into a major home improvement project, you might not have every tool you need in your shed or workshop. Don't let that stop you when you can stop by The Home Depot Greenwood Village Tool Rental Center.

Tool Rental
Our tool rental choices expand your toolbox with the precise tools you need to complete your DIY project. It's not practical to get a specific tool when you're rarely reaching for it. When you're considering a new tool, give it a spin first before you decide which one to get. Whatever your situation, we have the tools you're looking for.

Make Painting Easier with Rental Scaffolding and Ladders
Gorgeous spring days are a great time to tackle outdoor painting projects. Make surfaces look new again with a fresh coat of paint. Whether you need scaffolding rentals for painting a house, or rental ladders for painting fences, or a paint sprayer rental for professional coverage, we have what you need.

Rent Shop Vacs, Post Hole Diggers, and Floor Sanders
Tackle major jobs with robust power tool rentals. Use a rental tiller to get your garden bed ready for planting or ensure fresh sod lays just right with a sod cutter rental. Construct a new fence around your property more efficiently with a post hole digger rental, then utilize other concrete tools to securely set your fence posts.

Cargo Van and Truck Rentals
For large equipment rentals, we keep trucks of all kinds ready to rent. Although availability varies by store, we've got a selection ranging from flatbed trucks to pickups to cargo vans. We'll have the correct size for your DIY project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your trusted source for DIY projects, storage needs, and packing, it's easy to make us your source for truck rental as well.

Box Truck and Penske Moving Truck Rentals
If it's time to move to a new home, we can help with that, too. Explore our rental box trucks. We also offer Penske moving trucks in sizes ranging from 12-feet to 26-feet, but as always, availability varies by store. Use our trucks to haul all your belongings — from a dorm to a city apartment to a 4-bedroom house, and anything in between. Our Penske moving trucks have different rental requirements and sizes than our box trucks, so check out the FAQ or speak to an Orange Apron to ensure you find the right rental truck for you.

Large Equipment Rentals
Complete massive projects with pro equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need to finish the job. From the boom lifts to give you a boost to the mini excavators and mini skid steers for hauling materials, we've got an expansive variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore our selection to see what we've got in stock.

Although we're calling out popular tool, large equipment, and truck rentals, not everything is available at every rental center. If you've got a particular truck in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent trucks, tools, or large equipment?

Stop by your local Rental Center to see what tools or trucks you can rent. If you'd like confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a truck, tool, or large equipment. You might also check out our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is in stock at your favorite store. For more info on renting large equipment or tools, read the Tool Rental FAQs, including terms and conditions for the equipment.

Can I rent large equipment or a tool for a day?

Tool rentals and large equipment rentals start at four hour time slots. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small home improvement projects may only require a rental for a few hours, and bigger jobs aren't a problem either. You've got options to rent large equipment and tools by the month, week, or day, too. If you need it longer than what you signed up for, call your Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.

When can I bring the tools back?

You're welcome to return the tools early if you complete your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off any built-up dirt from the tool as well. If you need it longer, call your local rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.

How long can I rent a truck?

Rent a box truck, cargo van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Don't forget to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you'll need to return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the terms and conditions before selecting a vehicle.

Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?

Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Match the level of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. If you don't, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Can I rent a truck or large equipment with only a driver's license?

No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements. Large equipment or select tools also require ID verification via CLEAR.

How do I get my large equipment rental?

Depending on your location, you can get large equipment delivered and removed from your job site for a reasonable cost — whether that's out in the field or at your own home. You'll need to rent it for one day or longer and provide us with 24 hours notice so we can adequately prepare your rented large equipment. In places where delivery isn't available, speak to an associate for the ideal way to get your large equipment.

How do I avoid extra fees and penalties on my large equipment rentals?

Treat your large equipment rentals as any other vehicle: Make sure you obey traffic laws and it's parked legally. Read the operator's manual so you're using it correctly to avoid injuring yourself or damaging the equipment. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are. If you cancel within 12 hours of your scheduled delivery, you'll pay a cancellation fee. Make sure to return equipment by the deadline or extend the rental period to accommodate the extra time you require.
