The Home Depot Rental Center at Hendersonville, TN

Take on any new home improvement project with the right tools — even if you don't currently own them. Rent the tools, use them, and return them when you're done. You can complete your project without cluttering up garage or shed storage with tools you rarely use.

Tool and Equipment Rental
Using The Home Depot Hendersonville, TN Tool Rental Center lets you do more complex DIY projects. Break free of the limits of old tools and rent up-to-date tools made to suit your projects. Rent quality tools to complete your project confidently and safely. If your local store doesn't have a tool you need in stock, you might find it at another store within driving distance.

Tame the Trees and Lawn Early
Lighten the load with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the yard with a rental lawn mower and leaf blower, the trees and hedges with a chainsaw rental, and the sidewalks with a pressure washer. Your outdoor oasis will be ready for new spring flowers in no time.

Add Insulation When the Weather is Cooler
To make your home more energy efficient, update your insulation in the spring, if possible — before it gets dangerously hot in your attic. Rent equipment made for insulation to get it installed correctly. Choose from a fiberglass blower or a cellulose insulation blower, and insulate those nooks and crannies well. Help keep your heating and cooling bills under control with new insulation that maintains your home's temperature.

Cargo Van and Truck Rentals
To meet your transport needs, we keep trucks of all kinds ready to roll. Although availability varies by store, we've got a selection ranging from cargo vans to pickup trucks to flatbed trucks. You're sure to find the right size for your DIY project so you can keep your job on track. As your source for storage needs, DIY projects, and packing, it's smart to make us your go-to source for truck rental as well.

Box Truck and Penske Moving Truck Rentals
If it's time to relocate to a new home, we can help with that, too. Explore our rental box trucks. We also offer Penske moving trucks in sizes ranging from 12-feet to 26-feet, but as always, availability varies from store to store. Box trucks have different rental requirements and sizes than Penske moving trucks, so check our FAQ or speak to an Orange Apron to make sure you choose the right rental truck for you.

Large Equipment Rentals
Handle massive projects with pro power equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need. From the boom lifts to give you a boost to the mini excavators for hauling materials, we've got a surprising variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore and see what we've got in stock.

Although we're calling out specific large equipment, truck, and tool rentals, our rental center may not have everything on hand for your required time frame. If you've got a particular item in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent trucks, tools, or large equipment?

Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what's available. If you'd like to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a tool, truck, or large equipment. You might also read our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is in stock at your store. For more information on renting large equipment or tools, read our Tool Rental FAQs, which includes terms and conditions for the equipment.

Can I rent tools or large equipment by the hour?

Large equipment rentals and tool rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY jobs may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and major projects can also be accommodated. You've got options to rent large equipment and tools by the month, week, or day, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I bring the tools back?

You're welcome to return the tools early if you finish your project ahead of schedule, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off any mud or dirt from the tool as well. If you need them longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.

Can I rent a truck for a week?

Rent a box truck, cargo van, or pickup truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on the length of your project. Be sure to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you must bring it back to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the terms and conditions before you choose a truck.

Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?

Yes, please fill up the truck before you bring it back. Make a note of the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. When you don't refill the rental truck, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Can I rent large equipment or a truck with only a driver's license?

No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements. Large equipment or select tools also require ID verification via CLEAR.

Do I need to go get my rented large equipment?

Depending on your location, you can get large equipment delivered straight to your job site for an affordable rate — out in the field or at your own home. You'll need to rent it for one day or longer and provide us with 24 hours notice so we can adequately prepare your rented large equipment. In places where delivery isn't available, speak to an associate for the best way to get your large equipment.

How do I avoid penalties and extra fees on rented large equipment?

Think of your rented large equipment as any other vehicle: Make sure it's parked legally and you obey traffic laws. Read the manual so you're using it correctly to avoid injuring yourself or damaging the equipment. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are, as cancelling within 12 hours of delivery means you'll incur a cancellation fee. Make sure to return equipment by the deadline or extend the rental period to accommodate the extra time you require.
