Take on any new DIY project with the right tools for the job — even if you don't currently own them. Rent power tools, use them, and bring them back when you're done. You can finish your project without taking up your shed or garage with tools you rarely use.
Tool and Equipment Rental
The Home Depot Henrietta Tool Rental Center helps you handle larger DIY projects. No more old hand-me-down tools that limit what you can do. Rent quality tools to complete your project confidently and safely. If your local store doesn't have the tool in stock, it might be available at another one within driving distance.
Add Insulation When the Weather is Cooler
To make your home more energy efficient, upgrade your insulation in the spring — before it gets dangerously hot in the attic. Rent specialized equipment for insulation to install it correctly. Choose from a fiberglass blower or a cellulose insulation blower, and get those nooks and crannies insulated well. Help keep your heating and cooling bills under control with new insulation that maintains your home's temperature.
Tame the Lawn and Bushes Early
Lighten the load with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the lawn and bushes with string trimmers and rental lawn mowers, and get that driveway and sidewalk clean again with a pressure washer rental. Your outdoor oasis will be looking fresh and ready for new spring flowers in no time.
Rental Trucks
To move large tool rentals or anything else, we keep pickup trucks as well as box trucks on hand — with availability varying by store. Choose the right size truck rental for your DIY project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your source for packing, DIY projects, and storage needs, it's easy to make us your source for transport and moving as well.
To get transportation and tools for your moving or DIY project, check out The Home Depot Henrietta Tool and Truck Rental Center. Having the correct tools for the job is important, so let us help. We're here to help you complete that DIY project.
How do I rent tools or trucks?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what trucks or tools you can rent. If you want to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a tool or truck. You could also read our truck rental or tool and equipment rental pages to see if what you need is at your store. For more on renting tools, read our Tool Rental FAQs, including terms and conditions for the equipment.
Can I rent a tool by the hour?
Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small DIY projects may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and long-term projects can also be accommodated. You've got options to rent tools by the week, month, or day, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call your Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When can I bring the tools back?
It's fine to return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any mud or dirt from the tool as well. If you need them longer, call your local rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I rent a truck for a week?
Rent a cargo van, box truck, or pickup truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on how long your project is. Remember to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you must bring it back to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the terms and conditions before choosing a truck.
Should I refill the rental truck with gas before I bring it back?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Match the level of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. When you don't refill the vehicle, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?
No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
