The Home Depot Rental Center at Huntsville, TX

Take on any home improvement project with the tools you need — even if you don't own them. Rent the tools, use them, and bring them back when you're done. You're free to complete your project without cluttering up garage or workshop storage with tools you only reach for every so often.

Tool Rental
Using The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Huntsville, TX helps you handle larger DIY projects. No more old hand-me-down tools that limit what you can do. Rent quality tools to complete your project safely and confidently. If your local store doesn't have the tool you need in stock, it could be at another one within driving distance.

Add Insulation When the Weather is Cooler
For a more energy-efficient home, add another layer to your insulation in the spring — before it gets dangerously hot in your attic. Rent specialized equipment for insulation to install it correctly. Choose from a fiberglass blower or a cellulose insulation blower, and get those nooks and crannies insulated well. Installing insulation keeps your home cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter, all while tempering your heating and cooling bills.

Tame the Lawn and Bushes Early
Lighten the load with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the lawn and bushes with rental lawn mowers and edgers, and get that driveway clean again with a pressure washer rental. Your outdoor oasis will be ready for new spring flowers before you know it.

Truck Rental
For your transport needs, we keep pickup trucks and box trucks on hand — with availability varying by store. We also offer Penske moving trucks ranging from 12-foot to 26-foot lengths at certain stores. You're sure to find the right size truck rental for your DIY project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your trusted source for storage needs, DIY projects, and packing, it's simple to make us your go-to source for moving and transport as well.

Large Equipment Rentals
Handle massive projects with professional equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need. From the scissor lifts and boom lifts to give you a boost to the mini excavators and mini skid steers for hauling materials, we've got a surprising variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore our selection to see what we've got in stock.

Although we're calling out popular truck, tool, and large equipment rentals, not everything is available at every rental center. If you've got a particular tool in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent large equipment, tools, or trucks?

Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see which tools or trucks you can rent. If you'd like to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a tool, truck, or large equipment. You could also read our truck rental or tool and equipment rental pages to see if what you need is available at your store. For more details on renting large equipment or tools, read our Tool Rental FAQs, including equipment terms and conditions.

Can I rent large equipment or tools by the hour?

Tool rentals and large equipment rentals start at four hour time slots. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small home improvement projects may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and long-term jobs aren't a problem either. You've got options to rent large equipment and tools by the day, week, or month, too. If you need it longer than what you signed up for, call the Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I return the tools?

It's fine to return the tools early if you finish your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any built-up dirt from the tool as well. If you need them longer, call your rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.

How long can I rent a truck?

Rent a truck or cargo van for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Remember to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the documentation before you choose a truck.

Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?

Yes, please fuel up the truck before you return it. Note the fuel level when you receive the truck, and fill it with enough gas to match that level. When you don't refill the rental vehicle, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck or large equipment?

No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck. Select tools as well as large equipment also require ID verification via CLEAR.

Do I need to go get my rented large equipment from the store?

Depending on your location, you may be able to get large equipment delivered straight to your job site for a reasonable cost — whether that's at your home or out in the field. You'll need to rent it for one day or longer and provide us with 24 hours notice so we can prepare your rental delivery for you. In places where delivery isn't available, speak to an associate for the best way to get your large equipment.

How do I avoid penalties and extra fees on rented large equipment?

Treat your rented large equipment as any other vehicle: Make sure it's parked legally and you obey traffic laws. Read the instructions so you're using it correctly to avoid damaging the equipment or injuring yourself. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are. If you cancel within 12 hours of your scheduled delivery, you'll pay a cancellation fee. Extend your rental period if you need extra time so you won't get charged a late fee.
