Tool and Equipment Rental
Kick off your next home improvement job with confidence and the right tools for the job. Let The Home Depot Kirksville Tool Rental Center fill in the gaps in your toolbox with the tools you don't have on hand. You can rent the tools you need and return them when you've completed the project. If those rental tools just went from wanted to needed, we have used tools available for purchase. Compared to the new items on our store shelves, they're discounted.
Add Insulation When the Weather is Cooler
For a more energy-efficient home, upgrade your insulation in the spring, if possible — before it gets dangerously hot in the attic. Rent specialized equipment for insulation to get it installed correctly. Choose from a cellulose insulation blower or a fiberglass blower, and insulate those nooks and crannies well. You'll enjoy a more consistent home temperature and steadier utility bills with new insulation.
Tame the Trees and Lawn Early
Lighten the load with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the yard with a rental lawn mower and leaf blower, the trees and hedges with a chainsaw rental, and the driveway and sidewalks with a pressure washer. Your outdoor oasis will be ready for new spring flowers in no time.
Truck Rental
For your transport needs, we keep pickup trucks as well as box trucks rental-ready — with availability varying by store. You're sure to find the right size truck rental for your project so you can keep your job on track. As your trusted source for storage needs, DIY projects, and packing, it's simple to make us your source for transport and moving as well.
To get tools and transportation for your moving or home improvement project, check out The Home Depot Tool and Truck Rental Center in Kirksville. Having the appropriate tools for the job makes a difference. We're here to help you complete that DIY project.
How do I rent tools or trucks?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see which trucks or tools you can rent. If you'd like confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a truck or tool. You may also visit our truck rental or tool and equipment rental pages to see if what you need is available at your store. For more info on renting tools, read these Tool Rental FAQs, including terms and conditions for the equipment.
How long can I rent tools?
Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small home improvement projects may only require a short rental period, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the week, day, or month, too. If you need it longer than what you signed up for, call your Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I bring the tools back?
You're welcome to return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need them longer, call the rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I rent a truck for a week?
Rent a truck or cargo van for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Remember to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you must bring it back to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the contract and terms and conditions before selecting a truck.
Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?
Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Match the level of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. When you don't refill the rental vehicle, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
