Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, plastic plant pots, and CFLs for recycling.
This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot has sold to Trex in the past. This is used to manufacture composite decking materials, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.
Since 2010, we have decreased electricity consumption by over 52% in our U.S. stores.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our associates and customers, and this commitment extends beyond our stores to our local communities and the environment. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Read more about our commitment to economic responsibility.

Why should I get a generator?
Having a generator means you're prepared for whatever circumstances life throws at you. Whether you're dealing with severe thunderstorms, snowstorms tornados, hurricanes, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy power after the elements take it out. When exploring different generators for sale, don't forget that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows.
Should I make siding repairs now?
Make sure your home is ready for spring temperature swings by replacing or repairing faulty parts of your hardscaping and home. If water freezes in the crevices, you could have problems. On the outside of your home, examine roof shingles or metal roof panels for damage or rust that could let water leak into your home. Gutters should be cleaned to prevent ice dams if you're still prone to ice storms and snow. Check brick and cinder blocks for cracks. Indoors, verify ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. Lastly, swap out chimney caps and vinyl siding if they're damaged.
What are the benefits of doorbell cameras?
Enjoy safety, privacy, and peace of mind with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a window or peephole when you can watch visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you chat remotely via your phone, which is useful to scare off potential porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Most cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible and easy accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as needed and worry less with more control.
