Great store

Most knowledgeable staff in town; I go their for help with tasks when I have no prior experience (e.g., putting up electric fences around the pasture).

Home Depot offers veterans 10% discount ONLY on SELECT items. Items that I purchase a lot of (wood, electrical and plumbing), no discount is given. Go to Menards half a block away and they offer 11% rebate on EVERYTHING in the store. I like going to Home Depot, but since Menards came to town, Home Depot will be seeing a lot less of me.

This store has really turned the customer service around to make going here pleasant. Will be going back!

I shopped at the Lawrence Home Depot on Black Friday. Expecting to see long lines at the checkout and employees spread thin due to holiday shopping but check out was fast. There were plenty of helpful employees to answer questions and to help load my purchase into my car.

Great Store, great employees!

I asked for assistance from Thomas Schilling who went above & beyond any of my expectations. I am currently working on my privacy fence & needed a 4ft section, but was going to purchase an 8ft. section/panel to complete the job. I asked at the front desk & was told they were sold out. I found Thomas & he said there was 1 left but it was damaged so the store was going to dispose of it. He made me a % off deal & I was able to complete my fence!! YEAH THOMAS! I'm very grateful!!!

I go to the Lawrence Home Depot for the friendly service. I now know so many of the employees by name because I want that same great service and I get it over and over again.

I have always found the service at Home Depot to be very good. Yesterday's experience was no exception! The young lady in Customer Service, Hannah, went above and beyond to help me with my problem.

Great store! Employees are always very helpful and go out-of-their way to be sure I've found waht I need. They are also knowledgeable about the various products. Impressive -- much better than Menards, which is located next door. Try Home Depot first for all your DIY needs!

The contractor desk has gone out of it's way to help me through the construction of a 60 foot by 42 foot building. We have worked through deficulties with sub contractors, deliveries etc., and have kept the building on schedule.

Kim in the Kitchen and Bath area was excellent. She went above and beyond to help me find the vanity I was looking for and did everything she could to make sure I was a satisfied customer. She definitely deserves recognition!

This Home Depot is always clean. The staff is always helpful (when you can find one). The employees are knowledge which is great for someone like me who needs help with every project! I've never had a problem with purchases or returns. I hate that the registers are at one end of the store and the main entrance at the opposite.

don't get much help in heavy items area without a little trouble, people are friendly and for the most part helpful, usually have most everything your looking for

Elliott & Sons Fencing- (Same post. I feel strongly about my statements.) Home Depot is my store of preference. With that said, I still do shop the other home improvement stores only for the reason that each of the 3 major home improvement stores available in my area offer different products that the other does not. Whether it be the type of product offered or the price of the product, it's more about the right product for the job at hand. It's always good to have choices to get the job done right. I don't work for myself, I work for the client. It’s more important to please the client, than it is to shop at only one specific store. Building fences is my forte and require a variety of products. Home Depot at one point had 1x4x4 cedar dog eared pickets on hand right off the shelf, but now does not. What a huge disappointment. For a product that is just as widely used as the 1x6x6 cedar dog eared picket, it is now a special order item, which also comes with a bigger price tag because of that. (Not by HD, but by the supplier.) Instead of ordering thru HD for this item, I now shop at the other home improvement stores for that product. I want hands on to pick my own product, not picked by someone else thru a special order. This is unacceptable. Not only do I shop at another store for 1x4x4 cedar DE pickets, but I have also gone to another store for treated 4x4x8’s because of poor quality. The quality of the 4x4x8’s has diminished since changing suppliers. I have to have the best of the best to build the best fence possible for a client that expects to have a quality fence. I want to keep my business at HD and if HD brought back the 1x4x4 cedar pickets to the store shelf and improved the quality of the treated 4x4x8’s, I will purchase those items from HD.

Good store to shop at! I have patience, but have seen other customers expect more out of the store employees. I have personally talked with other customers that are upset because they see, and I know, that there are not enough employees on hand to help customers during busy times.

I had excellent help finding the correct fluorescent bulbs I was in search of. A very nice female employee helped with backup from Frank. I also purchased quart sized mums at a very reasonable price.

This store is great due to its people

Friendly employees but personally I think you need several experienced employees in each department and all times instead of just the one or two that always seem to be busy.

There are few choices in home repair stores in Lawrence, so it is the customer service that sets these establishments apart. Garrett is one of those employees that makes you happy that you shopped at the store. He is genuinely focused on making sure that you find what you need, and if you cannot, he will help to find a solution.

One of the best Home Depots I've ever visited. The employees are extremely helpful and knowledgeable, in particular, if you want flooring, see Keith - he's one of the most outstanding employees this store has! I will not shop at any other hardware store ever again. Fantastic employees!!!!
