Take on any home improvement project with the right tools for the job — even if you don't own them. Rent power tools, use them, and take them back when you're done. You can finish your project without cluttering up workshop storage with tools you only reach for once in a while.
Tool Rental
The Home Depot Maryville Tool Rental Center lets you do larger DIY projects. No more old hand-me-down tools that limit what you can do. Complete your project confidently and safely by renting quality tools. If your local store doesn't have the needed tool in stock, you may be able to find it at another store within driving distance.
Make Painting Easier with Rental Scaffolding and Paint Sprayers
Gorgeous sunny days are a great time to tackle outdoor painting projects. Make surfaces look new again with a fresh coat of paint. Whether you need scaffolding rentals for painting a house, or rental ladders for painting fences, or a paint sprayer rental for professional coverage, we have what you need.
Tame the Lawn and Bushes Early
Greet the spring with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the lawn and shrubs with edgers and rental lawn mowers, and get that sidewalk and driveway clean again with a pressure washer rental. Your outdoor oasis will be looking fresh and ready for new spring flowers before you know it.
Truck Rental
For transporting large tool rentals or anything else, we keep pickup trucks and Penske moving trucks on hand — with availability varying by store. Choose the right size truck rental for your project so you can keep your job on track. As your trusted source for storage needs, DIY projects, and packing, it's smart to make us your go-to source for moving and transport as well.

How do I rent a truck or tool?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what trucks and tools are up for rent. If you want confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a truck or tool. You may also check out our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is available at your store. For more details on renting tools, read these Tool Rental FAQs, including terms and conditions for the equipment.
Can I rent tools by the hour?
You can rent a tool for four hours or more. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small home improvement projects may only require a rental for a few hours, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the month, week, or day, too. If you need it longer than what you signed up for, call your Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I return the tools?
It's fine to return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need the tools longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I rent a truck for a few hours?
Rent a box truck, cargo van, or pickup truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on the length of your project. Don't forget to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you'll need to return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the contract and terms and conditions before you decide on a vehicle.
Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?
Yes, please fill up the truck before you bring it back. Match the amount of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. When you don't refill the rental vehicle, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
