Customer service lacking

We purchased carpeting for the basement. We had removed the existing carpeting ourselves, thinking we’d save Home Depot time and ourselves money in labor costs. When we got the quote it was the same price as if Home Depot had to do the work to remove the carpeting. We talked with John and the Manager, Nick, and neither were willing to offer us anything in terms of savings or even a token recognition for saving them hours of work. They kept saying “the removal cost is included in the price.” We understand that, but it doesn’t change the fact that Home Depot and its installers had a much easier and faster job by not having to remove the existing carpet. They were unwilling to do anything at all to reflect that, even to the point of taking $100 off a $2,600 job. We had an installation deadline so we felt forced to go with Home Depot but we will not be buying from them in the future. All they needed to do was offer something, even a small gift card, yet they were unwilling to do anything. We will not be using them or any Big Box in the future. We learned our lesson.

Excellent service Everytime

This is a very clean store, your store has a very good employee that works in Out of doors merchandise (Mike). That has helped me other times before. I went to buy just a leaf blower and ended up buying hedge-trimmer and weed-wacker also.

If you're a pro and in a hurry to get in & out, you may want to go elsewhere..

Staff is always friendly and helpful.

No matter what I need for my house, my rental units, Halloween or Christmas. Home Depot is there for me. To laugh with me when I return again and again the same day because I know what I need. (No I dont) and have to return and replace. The staff is always quick to assist and friendly. I appreciate them always being available.

Always nice and clean. Especially impressed with a young lady named Chrissy behind the Service Desk. Have always been pleased with all our purchases over the years. I believe we have utilized every department.

The people in the electrical and plumbing departments were very helpful with my questions about my home remodel.

I was able to find the product I was shopping for and was greeted by a store employee asking if I needed any assistance which I did not. Every time I am in the Midland Home Depot the store is always clean, bright and an employee is available for any questions that I may have.

What a wonderful trip to Midland Home Depot today. We went in to buy a bag of cement. We really didn't know what bag to buy. An employee named Anthony was on his way out for his lunch break and stopped to help us get the right bag of cement. Anthony also loaded the bag of cement onto our cart. The cashier was also very nice and found someone to come load the bag of cement into our car. It was so nice to see employees who seem to enjoy their job and value their customers. Now THAT is truly customer service. I will definitely visit this Home Depot next time we are in Midland.

The staff at this store were very helpful, and I was able to find what I was looking for quickly.

Avoid this store. Employees are sullen, cold, and unhelpful. If they pass you they look the other way. If they see you in an aisle they will turn and quickly go the other way. If you really need help you will have to run after someone in an orange apron and corner them.

Over the last year I’ve noticed an improvement with Customer Service from this store. Customer Service was fair to good in the past for this location but over the last year they have taken it to excellent. Thank you for your time and help when coming to the Midland, MI location.

We shop there all the time. We have always had good luck with finding what we need and very friendly cashiers.

I have shopped at many Home Depot stores in Michigan and the employees of the Midland store seem to excell at their service. Associates always friendly and treat you respectfully and are eager to assist you if you so require

Friendly and Helpfull associates

On 6/29/ 2018, I went to Home Depot to purchase dog ear pickets for my stockade fence project. I needed help sorting through the 2000 pickets the store had on hand. As I only needed 470, a kind and willing soul, Todd...picked the short stick lol and stood outside in the 96 degree heat helping me for 2 hours go through the pickets until I had found the right ones I wanted! He was also kind enough to supply me with bottles of cold water...thank you Todd!!

I like shopping this store because it is very clean and stocked with most anything I need. Staff is always helpful and friendly.

Store employees are very helpful. Every time I went in asking questions, someone was there to help whether I was spending 50 or five-thousand.

My husband and I are always going there constantly buying this and that and then more. Recently, we had Haley wait on us and was so very friendly and professional. You should definitely commend her on doing her job well!!

Sometimes big stores can be intimating but the experience at this store was so pleasant and helpful that my task was completed in record time with the assistance of the greeter, sales rep, cashier and parking lot attendant ( who waited for me to empty my basket and return the basket for me.)
