Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting CFLs, lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, and plastic plant pots for recycling.
This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot has sold to Trex in the past. This is used to manufacture composite decking, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.
LED lights in your local store saved on energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives such as wind and solar.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our associates and customers. This commitment extends beyond our stores to the environment and our local communities. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Read more about our commitment to economic responsibility.

Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it there safely. Look into our rental moving trucks, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.
Why should I get a generator?
Having a generator means you're prepared for any circumstances life throws at you. Whether dealing with hurricanes, tornados, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity after the elements knock it out. When searching generators for sale, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outside, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.
What home repairs should I make sooner rather than later?
Ready your home for spring temperatures swings and storms by repairing or replacing broken parts of your home and hardscaping. If water freezes in any crevices, you could be in for major repairs down the line. On the outside of your home, examine metal roofs or roofing shingles for rust or damage that could let water in. Clean gutters to prevent ice dams if you're prone to frozen precip as the seasons change. Check bricks and cinder blocks for cracks. Indoors, verify ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. Lastly, change vinyl siding and chimney caps if they're damaged.
Does The Home Depot sell doorbell cameras?
Enjoy safety, peace of mind, and privacy with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. No more peeking through the peephole or a nearby window when you can watch visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you chat remotely via your phone, which is useful for delivery people or to scare off would-be porch pirates. Most cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.
