Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting rechargeable batteries, plastic plant pots, CFLs, and lead acid batteries for recycling.
Home Depot stores sent approximately 5.3 million pounds of shredded paper for recycling in 2022. This helped the planet by preserving over 63,500 trees, keeping over 16,000 trash bags of solid waste out of landfills, saving over 50 million gallons of water, and conserving 7.8 million kilowatt hours of electricity.
LED lights in your local store saved on energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives like solar and wind.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our associates and customers. This commitment extends beyond our stores to our local communities and the environment. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Learn more about our eco actions.

Do you have large moving boxes?
Make moving or storage easier by picking up an assortment of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you need, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion any and all items with moving blankets and bubble cushion to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Don't forget to check out our moving truck rentals if you need those, too.
Why should I get a generator?
We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They adjust to whatever power load is requested. This means they'll make less noise in times of lesser demand. When considering different generators for sale, remember that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. For safety purposes, always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors.
Should I do siding repairs now?
Ready your home for spring temperatures swings and storms by replacing any broken parts of your home and hardscaping. If water freezes in any crevices, you could have problems. On the outside of your home, examine shingles or metal roofing panels for damage or rust that could let water in. Gutters should be cleaned to prevent ice dams if you're still prone to ice storms and snow. Check brick and cinder block for cracks, and verify indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. Lastly, replace chimney caps and vinyl siding if in poor condition.
Do you have doorbell cameras?
Enjoy peace of mind, safety, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through an adjacent window or peephole when you can see human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, which is useful for delivery people or to scare off would-be porch pirates. Several cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.
