The Home Depot Rental Center at Ne Mesa

Tool and Equipment Rental
Start your next home improvement project with confidence and the best tools for the job. Let The Home Depot Ne Mesa Tool Rental Center fill in the gaps in your toolbelt with the tools you don't have at home. Rent what you need and bring it back when you're finished. In fact, if you found the tools so useful that you didn't want to return them, we have used tools available for purchase. Compared to the new items on our store shelves, they're discounted.

Add Insulation When the Weather is Cooler
To make your home more energy efficient, refresh your insulation in the spring, if possible — before it gets dangerously hot in the attic. Rent equipment made for insulation to get it installed correctly. Decide between a fiberglass blower or a cellulose insulation blower, and get those nooks and crannies insulated with ease. You'll enjoy steadier utility bills and a more consistent home temperature with new insulation.

Tame the Lawn and Greenery Early
Lighten the load with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the yard with a rental lawn mower and leaf blower rental, the trees and hedges with a chainsaw rental, and the driveway and sidewalks with a rental pressure washer. Your outdoor oasis will be ready for new spring flowers before you know it.

Truck Rental
To make it easier to transport large tool rentals, we keep pickup trucks as well as box trucks ready to rent — with availability varying by store. We also offer Penske moving trucks in sizes ranging from 12-feet to 26-feet at certain stores. You're sure to find the right size truck rental for your project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your trusted source for DIY projects, packing, and storage needs, it's simple to make us your source for moving and transport as well.

Large Equipment Rentals
Handle expansive projects with the right professional equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need. From the scissor lifts and boom lifts to give you a boost to the mini skid steers for hauling materials, we've got an expansive variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore our selection to see what we've got in stock.

Although we're mentioning specific tool, large equipment, and truck rentals, our rental center may not have everything on hand for your required time frame. If you've got a particular piece of equipment in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent a piece of large equipment, a tool, or a truck?

Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what tools and trucks are up for rent. If you want to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a tool, truck, or large equipment. You can also check out our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is carried at your store. For more on renting tools or large equipment, read the Tool Rental FAQs, including equipment terms and conditions.

Can I rent large equipment or a tool for an hour?

You can rent large equipment or tools for four hours or more. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small home improvement jobs may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and major projects can also be accommodated. You've got options to rent tools by the week, month, or day, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call your Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I bring the tools back?

It's fine to return the tools early if you complete your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need it longer, call the rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.

Can I choose how long to rent a truck?

Rent a cargo van, box truck, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Remember to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you must return it to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the contract and terms and conditions before you choose a vehicle.

Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?

Yes, please fill up the truck before you bring it back. Match the level of gas that was in the tank when you got the rental. If you don't, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Can I rent large equipment or a truck with only a driver's license?

No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements. Large equipment or select tools also require ID verification via CLEAR.

How do I receive my large equipment rental?

Depending on your location, you may be able to get large equipment delivered straight to your job site for a reasonable cost — whether that's out in the field or at your own home. You'll need to rent it for one day or longer and provide us with 24 hours notice so we can adequately prepare your rented large equipment. In places where delivery isn't available, speak to an associate for the best way to get your large equipment.

How do I avoid penalties and extra fees on rented large equipment?

Treat your rented large equipment as any other vehicle: Make sure you obey traffic laws and it's parked legally. Read the operator's manual so you're using it correctly to avoid damaging the equipment or injuring yourself. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are. If you cancel within 12 hours of your scheduled delivery, you'll pay a cancellation fee. Extend your rental period if you need extra time so you won't get charged a late fee.
